I dropped my uhaul off a night early and got charged 29 dollars for putting the key in the box. I gave it back early I should be rewarded not shit on. I'm so mad u will never use uhaul again. I have used uhaul 4 times this year but will tell everyone what happened to me. I called to ask for a manager and the employee was so rude to me that I wanted to show up and fight him.... and that's saying something I felt so disrespected by the tone of his voice. And I'd say he has worst customer service skills I've ever seen in my whole life..

Original reservation was buckhannon WV. Revercation guarantee was not honored. Vehicle was unavailable. Sent to elkins for pick up. Again reservation guarantee not honored and then was charged mileage to and from buckhannon and informed had to return trick in Elkins. Taking both my time and again charging me.

Went the day before hand to see what equipment was available - needed a open trailer. The man who was assisting me knew the make and model of my car, said there'd be no problem hooking it up to my car - also only needed the open trailer for a few hours & was told that they can only give discounts on trucks/vans, but a flat rate for open trailers - Next morning came back, paid, went to attach my car to the trailer - no hitch, but I was under the impression that there was a place to attach underneath. -so I asked to trade for a truck. Said yes. Did all the paperwork and went outside to find it & it was a van. Went back inside to say I asked for a truck & was told a van is all they have. I came the day before to have everything set up since the next day I needed to be somewhere a specific time. I had to take what I could, but was very unhappy with customer service. I brought the van back & a women checked the van back in - not very good customer service/ disposition from her either & asked about a discount because it was only 4hrs - said no, they don't do discounts on it. -had to spend a bunch of extra money & deal with shitty attitudes.
I had a great experience with the haul. Loved that it could all be done online. One thing i wish was improved is for us 5'4" is a tilt steering wheel OR the seat be able to rise up. I could reach the pedals just fine but my vision was impaired slightly by the steering wheel. A tilt steering wheel would of been wonderful. But all in all a great experience. Thank you U Haul!!
I rented the uhaul on a Saturday at around 3pm. I had planned on returning it on Monday which would have been a two day charge. I returned it around 5 or 6 on Sunday. I was not informed when I rented it that I needed to do self service return online. I have rented uhauls for years and have never done this so I didn't read the receipt. I get the receipt today and it showed two days charge. I called and explained that to Portia who is the manager and she told me because it was brought back after they closed and I did not self return it was a two day charge. She refused to make any kind of concession and was rude and I got rude back! Casey the guy that rented it to me was more interested in his cellphone when I walked in to rent it on Saturday just seemed like he didnt' want to be there. Then while he was helping me, he stopped when another customer came in and I had to wait when he had been helping me first. I don't believe this uhaul store represents Uhaul and it is NOT the experience that I have EVER had with uhaul in the past. However, I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS ONE AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I was not informed that it had to be back before close on Sunday or Monday. I was told by Casey to park it in front of the store if I wanted to when I returned it. Had he explained it to me that it had to be back while open so a staff could check it in with my presence or that I had to go online, I would have however that was NOT expressed to me. In the past, as recent as 3 months ago, I returned a uhaul at 10pm the next day and was NOT charged a two day rental. I would like to get a refund for the extra day that was charged to me. And Casey need to be trained to explain all of this to customers which he did not! As I mentioned I would have complied.

The girl working was very fast and efficient in and out everything went smooth.And those newer ford trucks are sweet.Just need to keep more 26 foot trucks in stock.
When I brought the truck back I reported to the clerk that I was disgusted by the leftover trash, filthy windows covered in bug guts and the lack of interior cleaning during Covid. She told me she would give me a discount and would make sure management knew about my issue. No discount was given and I will not recommend this uhaul site to my friends.

They were awesome with answering all my questions and really nice they got me set up and out the door fast .
The braking system on the trailer had bolts that were loose and made the trailer sway back n forth I travel twice a month and will never use u haul again
One thing that could be changed, is the amount of automatic time for rental for multi state not charge fir 4 days. I could have dropped my uhaul off Monday night, I chose not to since I was being charged and the vehicle could be rented to someone else and making double off that rental. If I would have had transportation I wouldn't have returned it till Friday.

Get honest employees. I asked if the trucks were sanitized when they were brought back, and the employee told me yes. The truck I rented was dirty, as well as the dolly wasn't even strapped in. It was rolling all over as I pulled off. That was proof enough that the truck had not been cleaned. Also, I was not told that I had to pay for extra miles. Uhaul called me and said that the place I needed to pick the truck up wasn't available, but that I could pick it up for the same price at a certain location. They knew this would cause more miles, but never mentioned that I would be responsible for paying the difference. I ended up loosing a lot of my deposit because of this.
Lady was closing the store offer to go ahead return equipment or I could do it on the app. She was very friendly.
The after-hours return process didn't work. It's great in theory. I spent 20 minutes sitting in my truck trying to return the trailer. It needed location services, which I turned on, and then it kept booting me out. Extremely frustrating, because I felt like I HAD to check it back in before going home. Finally after 20 minutes I just gave up and hoped for the best. Great experience with the exception of after-hours check in.
