This was without doubt the worst experience I have had from any company. My pick up location was changed the day before I was due to pick up my truck to a location 2 plus hours away so I had to cancel the reservation, delay my move to a day that I could pick up a truck closer to home. When I got there, they had no blankets for packing protection which I had reserved and paid for. On starting the truck I discovered that the AC was not working. The agent there called Uhaul and told me that sometimes it will kick in after a while of driving but I was not willing to take the chance given that I was driving to OR in triple digit temps. It took almost 2 hours to get the AC fixed and then it failed again after I had loaded a 26ft truck with all our stuff. I had to leave that morning so when on the road I contacted Uhaul to again report the issue and customer service told me to call back when I was 30 min away from Redding where I was heading to try get the AC fixed in 106 degree temps. I did as instructed only to be told that none of the nearby repair technicians was responding. I was asked to go to the large Uhaul center in Redding where they had someone who could fix it for me. On arrival there I was informed that this was not true, that they had no techs and it was just a pick up and delivery location. They offered to supply me a new truck which would have involved unloading and re-loading a full 26ft truck in 106 degree temps which I declined. I left there after wasting further time and gas at 10mpg and stopped at an Autozone to buy Freon to try and keep the ac running cold while it leaked out. This worked for only a few minutes at a time and with each stop it lasted less and less time. Eventually I gave up and just dealt with the heat arriving at my destination 3 hours later than scheduled and exhausted and dehydrated as a result of spending all the hours on the road in a truck with No working AC in triple digit temperatures. I could not be more unhappy with this experience and plan to see what recourse I have to get compensation for this terrible experience. On a side note for the most part, reviews of Uhaul rentals are terrible so its not unusual for customers to have bad experiences. Uhaul gets away with it because they have the lowest prices but honestly its not worth it. Customer Service does not exist at Uhaul and they obviously dont give a damn.Marc M.

Staff were not wearing masks at any of the several times I went in. I was invited to take mine off. No thanks, I'll protect you even if you don't care to protect me. Truck had 2 wasp nests in it. 2 people were stung. The manager was very nice, however, and helped with figuring out remote pick up.Laurie S.

I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone. I will tell them to Never use Uhaul. The medford location gave away our CONFIRMED reservation . We then were sent to another city to pick up a truck. We then were switched from a new truck to a crappy , old truck with 200,000 miles. THEN, we were told we couldn't drop it off in the city where we moved. We had to EXPLAIN that we can't drive ANOTHER 6 hours To drop off at truck. Am I furious ? Yes. Please look at the YELP reviews for the uhaul deal on riverside in medford. Vehicle was down right disgusting inside. The cab area had multiple spilled drinks, a layer of grime on all seats and areas, and smelt like cigarette smoke so bad it was hard to drive the vehicle for more than a few minutes. The storage area of the UHaul had sticky marijuana residue coating the floors, sides, and ceiling. As the temperature rose inside of the UHaul the back began smelling like marijuana bad. I understand UHaul cannot dictate what people use the UHaul for to transport, but it is disconcerning that sticky marijuana residue is left behind to cling to a family's items when moving. I will be looking elsewhere for rentals in the future as this experience was nothing but a let down.Robert C.

I reserved a trailer at Medford facility and they didn't have one and I was de to two towns away. That person told me I could drop it off at â€˜any' u haul place in Littleton, CO. Not true. Got massive run around, rude behavior and hassled when I tried to do so. Complaint filed with UHaul.Paula P.
He was an ass hole, We were moving our mom to California. She's 88 years old She had just fallen and hurt herself. She wanted us to use her credit card. And they demanded that she showed up to have it used. To make sure it was real. It was Up setting and embarrassing. She could hardly move. Thanks to your app we just paid for it online. Will never use them ever again. And by the way they put the wrong size trailer on my truck In the rain. I had to drive around And do it again. What a joke.Joseph G.

The lady I spoke with on the phone was super helpful and courteous. However when I got the truck it smelled like cigarette smoke they asked me to return it at 3/4 of a tank and it was below 3/4 of a tank when I started. And it was dirty I could barely see through the windshield with the amount of bugs. Otherwise fit the bill and worked for what I needed. I guess I just expected it to not stink and be cleaner.Jason J.
