No other company in Duncan to rent large moving vans from. Inside of building is ridiculous and so understaffed. Had to wait 20 minutes to be served when picking up the van. This is the first time that the vehicle was not filled up when you take it. Meant I had to put gas in it at my own expense.Shari P.

Only 1 person at the location on both days, line of 7 people waiting in the rain. Other customers were venting there frustration on the poor worker. The truck was a piece of crap, it wasn't detailed when we got it, it smelt of smoke, there was a partial used cigarette package under the seat. The passenger seat belts were so jammed under the seat I couldn't get them nu-done, I had people without seat belts. When you turned on the heater there was a strong smell of antifreeze. The truck started to run very rough, chugging and the check engine light came on, the truck stalled heading into the ferry, then multiple times tried to stall and ran rough when it heated up. I had to put some pressure on the gas peddle with my one foot and hold the brakes with the other so it wouldn't stall., when we came to a set of lights, that was fun in Vancouver.The gas mileage was terrible, probably due to the fact it was running so bad. If these issues had happened before we had the truck fully loaded I would have taken it to a U-Haul facility over in Vancouver and traded it in, but of course that wasn't the case. I would like some one to contact me to discuss this, please. I feel we should be compensated for the extra stress this added to an already stressful time. The people at u haul need to be completely retrained. I have never in my life have seen a company run by so many incompetent people, I ordered a 10foot cube van for 2 to days then I go to buy boxes I went to verify about my confirmation and the person on goldstream said that it was only booked for one day when I could not have that situation as we moved out on the 30th and moved in on the first So I needed it to two days then I had go through countless hours having to get in touch with a agent to find the right truck and she kindly gave me a 15foot but I had to drive from Victoria to Duncan pick up the truck and drive back and I was given 93km and inside not even use that kms then I get charged for km I was suppose to get from manager she offers as 93 km because I had to drive the u haul back and then I had a dolly booked was not able to get that becasue they rented the one I had booked then i told her to add insurance she did not and left me in a very unpleasant feeling of not having liability. All has been confirmed that the truck was in great condition when we left and we were charged 44 dollars for km we were promised. Saying we went over our free limit in which we did not. It was the most unpleasant feeling with dealing with pain in the head uhaul. And I'll never go back again. I would never recommend themMicheal S.

Location was to open at 9am, but didn't open until 9:20. Check in app didn't work, wrong key in lock box, Vehicle was in poor condition, headliner falling down, let truck out with engine light on, listed that there was 1/2 tank of fuel but was between 1/4 and 1/2. I was made to fill it to 1/2 upon return (54.00) even when I showed them a photo of the level. So it cost $130.00 in fuel to travel 250 km.Richmond W.
There was, unfortunately an error with the key and we had to wait quite a while to resolve it. The customer service person was very efficient and apologetic. The wait time was more to do with Covid. I had ordered a dolly, furniture trolly and 1 dozen clothes which were not in the truck and when I called the office there was no answer. The customer service number had me waiting for too long. I will be contacting uhaul and hopefully I am reimbursed.CHRISTINE A.
Location is easy to get to. The truck was very dirty inside and out. It had obvious issues with brakes and had mechanical noise. When we asked for a better vehicle, and there were lots of others, we were told, it's an in town truck. We returned the truck in far better condition than received. We cleaned it. The app didn't work and it took an hour and a half to get my truck. The customer service was abismal in person and the wait time for 1 800 service to over an hour. Once I finally got the truck it was fine and check out worked well.Margaret B.

wiper blades on the truck were old, and broke down, the wiper fluid in the truck was rated for summer and not winter. Had to buy new wiper blade for the truck, and it didn't work. had to call road side assistance enroute to Dawson Creek, as the wiper blade broke and the window washer fluid froze to the window while driving. We hit a snow storm outside of 70 Mile HouseSherry N.
