The truck did not feel safe. The customer service experience was one of the worst I have ever had. Bad attitude(s) from every employee I encountered. Young man working the counter referred to me as "dude".

Yes or no aren't good enough options re: equipment. The 4x8 trailer I rented was in good enough shape NOT to say "no" but did have some issues. Overall, fine. However, the hinged door sagged and the rubber gasket was a bit worn and didn't seat well so some rain leaked in during our trip. Nothing was ruined but some clothing needed to be laundered and some of our boxes got wet and contents, including books needed to be dried out. I don't think the rental price was bad but when spending 300-400 dollars to rent a small trailer for a few days, one would hope it'd keep the rain out. Am I entitled to compensation? I don't know...but some gesture from uhaul for the minor inconvenience would be appreciated. The drop off location was fine. The man there was pleasant and helpful. The young woman at the pickup location was very pleasant and very helpful as well as efficient at quickly taking care of customers even though she was alone and busy. Bottom line: good service, pretty decent price but equipment was a bit lacking in terms of being very well maintained.

Young woman that assisted me in checking in was super friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to be doing a great job at multitasking! As I was looking for my truck using the mobile website she was assisting some folks with getting their trailer attached to their car. She could sense I was a little confused, and before she completed her task, she asked if I needed assistance. It was definitely a busy Saturday morning, she got me to my truck, and effectively and efficiently helped other folks without missing a beat. This young woman really went above and beyond for everyone she interacted with and did it with a smile!

Very impressed with the professionalism! Clean vehicle, ease of paperwork. She explained every detail to us. And looked over vehicle prior to us taking it and made note of prior damage. I didn't even see it at first. Would recommend Uhaul again? Thank you!

I was questioned, upon returning equipment, whether I was responsible for visible existant(done by a prior customer) damage to equipment. Uhaul locations need to closely INSPECT ALL EQUIPMENT/RECORD ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE PRIOR TO as well as UPON RETURN OF RENTED EQUIPMENT. I did not appreciate the insinuation that I was possibly the responsible party, since they apparently took no damage inventory of truck BEFORE IT WENT OUT, recording specific damage and its location on truck. Store policy/practices should be examined in this regard, to prevent similar occurences In the future. Moving is a stressful enough time WITHOUT such unnecessary tensions.

I reserved a specific Transit van vehicle with a package of moving blankets on 8/23 for pick by 6 pm. When I came to pick the vehicle up at 5:50 pm they tried to give me a smaller van. I was very clear about that particular vehicle and was assured it would be there. After insisting on the Transit van your employee left me in the parking lot for 15 minutes without telling me what was going on. Not until I notified my wife, who was waiting in the parking lot on the other side of the building and then going back into the store, was I informed that the van I wanted would be available. I might add that I am partially handicapped to boot. This delay cause me to miss picking up folding tables because the store closed at 7 pm. The next morning I drove into Buffalo from Clarence to pick up my office furniture I got on Craigslist. Backed the van up, opened the doors and guess what? No blankets! I had 2 $10 per hour helpers with me and now I drive back to Clarence to get house blankets and then drive back to Buffalo to properly load the wood furniture. Time, mileage and money wasted because your people couldn’t do a simple task and do it on a timely basis. I had to still make a second trip to get the folding tables and go back to the Uhaul store to pick the blankets. Your staff made some small concessions that don’t even come close to my losses. I’ve rented from this same place at least 6 or 8 times previously without major problems.

I have had the worst experience with Uhaul. I reserved my equipment 1 month in advance. It was not ready at the proper location. They only had one trailer available and I had to go back the next day to get the 2nd trailer. The sent us with a trailer with a missing chain in the back. When we returned both trucks and trailers they are saying they were damaged. They charged my credit card 2 weeks after dropping the equipment off with out my knowledge of anything or any issues and after receiving a receipt of drop off with a 0 charge on it. I wait on hold for 15 minutes at a time and over a 45 min phone call I have been transferred to 6 different people and no one knows what they are doing. Still no one is helping me with the 824 charge on my card. I am very unsatisfied with my experience and will NEVER use Uhaul again.
