Uhaul needs to have better standards and procedures at all locations. Seems extemely disorganized considering there were 2 other customers, neither of which were getting trucks. 1 employee doing everything and overworked which is why he forgot about us.

I tried to rent a truck 3 times before I, finally, got it! There are no standartization of the requirements, that changes at each location and there are no precise information at website. I lost 2 days and dozen hours trying to rent, and 4 Uber trips (about US$50,00) going to the locations in Davis and Woodland. Could you please improve your procedures? Regards

After almost getting set up with an after hours pick up via a live person, the new staff at this location said I had to use the app. When I got to the pickup, the app did not work. It was incredibly frustrating and made me very angry since i was on a tight timeline. I had to wait 30 minutes for customer service. They recommended I skip the app and do it on the website. I was I had been told this as a back-up plan for a failing app.

Rental truck was drop off after working hours. so I had to use 24/7 return option around 5:30PM at Uhaul Davis. Instruction on the door was simple and clear. Key box was also near by. So the returning was quick and easy. Very happy with Uhaul service.

I still have not heard that the rental was received. I dropped it off at 4:07 pm on Thursday, same day. I have called with no answers, and sent emails, and still haven’t heard that it was received.

Very simply, I returned the truck, at 6:00 PM the day I rented it. the contract called for 7:00 PM. I was charged a 20:00 dollar late fee. i was never informed I had to basically log in on my phone, at the location, to confirm I returned the truck.

Be aware that the owners seem to be overly protective and charge renters for all small dings and or scratches. I was shocked by what the employees were told to charge - $140 for a small door paint chip. It is a moving van!

I arranged the online self pick up and the truck wasn’t ready I had to wait 25 minutes until I could get help I was overcharged for gas charges and had to call and get the charges changed

The lot was full and the employee instructed us to drive down the block and turn and park the U-Haul in a residential area and walk back to the U-Haul place to drop the keys in the box. Not a huge deal but had no one been there for our after hours drop off we would have had no idea what to do. I did call U-Haul because the check in process online didn’t work and I was on hold for almost an hour before someone picked up so I would have been furious waiting that long just to talk to someone about where to leave the truck.

Bad service, the employees did not acknowledge or greet me when I walked in, i had to ask one of them to help me instead of them being attentive. One didn’t care that I returned the vehicle, he told me to drop them on the table and he would do it later when he had time. Worst experience of my life, will not be a customer here again.

So I almost did not get my truck Sat Aug 31, when I had to be out of my apartment at 5pm that day. I received a call from a call center the night before on Friday Aug 30 telling me to go to 1750 W Capital West Sacramento instead. Okay. We show up at the time given and there is no truck. It caused significant stress. However, your employees there (11am W Sacramento, Aug 31) were fantastic. I believe one was named “Joe” they spent over 45 min calling around asking for a truck for us and managed to find one back in Davis. I’m upset with uhaul over this situation, however, I was extremely impressed with Joe + another present employee’s handling of the situation and would give THEM 5+ stars. Thank you for making a horrible situation less horrible and ultimately fixing it, gentlemen!!
