Scheduled online for 7:00 AM pick up at one location. Switched to different location for 9:15. Not happy. Delayed the start of my move by 3 hours. Called UHaul main number and agent said, sorry, subject to availability. So you are good at taking a reservation, but not good at keeping the reservation. It was a funny Seinfeld episode, but not for me.

I reqested pickup and return. At monument location 5 min from home. I found out the the location was changed to danville location. Very inconvenient. There was nobody to help attach trailer. I spent a quarter of a tank of gas to get to the pick and return site. Very disappointed

The cargo van was clean enough but not clean as a renatl car is clean - dirty winshield but clean inside.

This location was our second attempt at renting a truck. The truck we got worked well but stunk badly inside. The first attempt was via their mobile booking system which is flawed. We failed the “live” test because their software is color blind.

First: The store was advertised as open at 9am so we made our reservation for 9am. The store clerk showed up at 9:15am. Secondly, the truck that she initially gave us had a broken sliding door. When we pointed that out she asked if we needed the door to work. (Huh?) Once we explained that yes we needed a working truck so our belongings would not fly all over the road she explained we needed to go to another UHaul in Dublin. We asked why she wouldn't just rent us the second truck (of same value) to us. She just replied that she didn't want to "mess someone else's transaction up". We had to be very firm with her. We explained that we were there now and that our transaction was being messed with. I was on a tight time schedule and was already late from the store being opened late. After talking with what I assume was a manager, she came back and told us she would rent us the working truck. It was truly unbelievably poor customer service.

My reservation location was changed and I don't know why and the representative at the pick-up location could not either. The windshield was very, very dirty. I couldn't tell if what was on it was bugs or some sort of damage. The wiper and washer was not able to remove it.

Parking for personal vehicles near drop off point. Did a late night drop off and it was a bit of a walk in the rain. Other that that they were friendly professional and very nice to deal with. I liked the online check it.

I requested to pick up this truck from Hayward, CA at 8:00am on 12/16 and the night before my pick up date, I received a text indicating that my truck would be available for pick up in Danville at 3:00pm-30 miles out of my way. I called U-haul customer service and was told U-haul had overbooked and the 20ft truck would only be available at this Danville location. They promised me $40 off my rental for the inconvenience as well as extra mileage for having to drive out of the way and when I picked up the truck, there was not credit and no extra mileage. This is the second time I have a bad experience with U-haul. The previous time I rented the truck, I was late to pick up and my truck was given away Horrible customer service by the gentleman at the Jackson St. location in Hayward, CA. If i would have known my truck would be given away, I would have picked it up on time. As you can imagine, moving is stressful enough, and having my truck given away only added to that stress. None of the paperwork or communication I received noted that they truck would be given away if it was not picked up within the hour.

Absolutely awful. Honestly - if anyone else rented trailers u would go with them. Trailer was disgustingly dirty, and was missing a trailer wire. I have no idea how that can be. I had to drive to a different location to pick up a wire. Absolutely unacceptable.

Called location to advise I would be picking up the trailer late. When I arrived the man at the counter told me I was lucky they didn't cancel the reservation and that I should "do better" at advising them next time. I explained that I had called earlier, spoken with someone at their shop and changed the pick up time. Sounds like their staff should "do better" rather than tell the customer as he told me to do. Rudeness does not make for a positive customer experience.

This is not my preferred pickup location. UHaul said I will get a call the previous day of pickup for confirmation, but didnt receive any call. Just got a email\text message saying my pickup location changed. UHaul should have delivered the truck to my preferred location.
