The manager at this location called me as soon as I picked up the truck on the app. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He walked me through unlocking the lockbox and stayed on the phone until I was set up and ready to go. Thanks so much!!
The customer service was excellent at this location. The app is very difficult to use. It never seems to work properly.
This was by far the most unorganized and disrespectful experience in my recent memory. We were told there was no U-Hauls within 100 miles of our location despite reserving one MONTHS prior. When discussing this with the Customer Service Representative, she was extremely rude and dismissive. After finally getting a U-Haul, the check engine light was on the entire time and the car drove poorly. At the time of returning, we take the U-Haul to San Marcos per our agreement. Turns out that location is CLOSED. How incompetent can a company be?! We will be filing a complain with the BBB, posting about this actively on Yelp, social media, and other mediums. I am APPALLED by the behavior of U-Haul.
They overbook the trucks. At the time when I arrive the office and pick up the truck, it was not available. I had to wait for 30 minutes.
I was over charged. My card was charged over $400 for a 8 hour rental
To be fair, lady at the desk did apologize to me for not having the uhaul ready earlier. A customer refused to bring it in until the very last minute. However, I originally placed my order for pick up at 8:30am in Walnut Creek and uhaul just decided they were going to change it to Danville at 12:30. Not only was that out of my way, like way out of my way, but it also was 4 hours later. Not ideal when I'm trying to pack for out of state. They wouldn't change it back to when I needed it. And there was nasty bug spray all over the truck, like a giant disgusting roach stuck to the windshield wiper. Gross! I'm praying I don't move for awhile. Renting from uhaul is stressful. They also charged me $30 more when I tried to switch the location back to Walnut Creek, even though I never got to pick it up from there in the end...
5 star service at the Shree Postal Annex of Danville. Very poor general U Haul communication (not the Shree Postal Annex), unable to use the phone app or internet to return the truck.
This is a small operation with very little inventory that uses the back of a shopping center. This location is not good for getting a hitch installed. Young man that removed the trailer from my car did a good job and was very nice. He barely knew what he was doing but worked on instinct.

I called this location to have my bill explained and go through the itemized bill...in the end the lady was yelling at me and not listening to me...she was angry and very upset...I explained that I was not yelling at her and to please stop ...she continued. All I wanted to find out ...is how many days I was charged for...I have used other Uhaul locations and will definitely never return to this one or recommend it to friends or neighbors.
Contactless rental was not 100% contactless and it took me over 20 minutes to get a key once approved and paid.
The inside of the van was dirty. both inside the driving area and in the cargo area........

Very satisfied with the service we received in San Jose ( Curtner location) and Danville.
The location was great. The man working there saved my experience from being completely horrible. I scheduled to pick up my uhaul an hour before the store opened so that I could get started with the moving experience quickly, but Uhaul's online checkin system and terrible online customer service caused me to wait there for a full hour until the store opened because various errors were occurring which prevented me from checking out my vehicle. The website would not let me check in without location services, but my cell service was too poor to allow location services, so I ended up driving to the starbucks across the street to use their wifi to check in, only for the system to tell me that I was not at the car so I could not pick it up. Meanwhile, my poor friend who offered to drive me was being dragged around on this terrible errand. When I went to enter my father (who has a similar but different name than me) as my alternative contact, the system said that they could not approve my contact because it was me (??). And then, the system locked me out completely and said that it needed customer service approval to process my request to pick up my keys. By this point, an hour had passed and I was able to end my call with the unhelpful customer service person and get help from the brick-and-mortar location. Uhaul's awful internal customer service and online service really kicked off my move on a terrible experience. The man who helped me was the only saving grace.

Reserved moving blankets were given to others just before we arrived. Attendant had to re-enter much of my info that I had already provided online.
