Nice people. We liked the location and would likely use it again. HOWEVER, we were informed that U-Haul does not rent the smaller panel vans to go one way and drop off. Only for rent and return to the same location. That was a huge problem, as the other trucks were much too large for the amount of things we had to move. We also completely disagreed with U-Haul's policy of renting us a truck with only a half full tank of gas and saying we had to return it the same way. We returned it with nearly a three quarter tank because when we filled up half way, it was difficult to gauge how much we would need to get to our destination and have a half tank left. So, we overfilled it--and overpaid for fuel. This is a blatant and obvious attempt by U-Haul gouge customers for fuel and a total ripoff. For these reasons, we will not rent from U-Haul again and would not recommend U-Haul to others.GEORGE R.

Mobile check in does not work. After taking a photo of myself, it will not proceed to license photo. I had to go to the counter where they send me a text message for it to work. I ended up renting the regular way not mobile.Isidro T.
The U-Haul check-in APP was not working and I tried to check-in multiple times. I spent about 40 minutes trying to drop off the truck. I called customer service and waited on hold for over 25 minutes to find out what to do. I had already left the area by that time.Holly S.

I booked for 8am and had to wait until 9am for the store to open. Nobody helped me, it was pitiful the help I received from them.kate S.
I am a bit unhappy about the way the gas tank level. I got it at "about half-full" -- which was a bit ambiguous. Re-filling the tank to exactly that level is IMPOSSIBLE. So, trying to be careful, I think I had to overfill the tank, MUCH more beyond the level I got the truck with. When I got the truck, the fuel level was as marked above with ^. Attached are my gas receipts, totalling $ 55.44. I think I over-filled something like 2-3 gallons, so would appreciate a refund of $12 towards this over-fill gas-upon-return. The car was super dirty and it messed up my stuff, i took a day off today while your car gave me allergies as it was super dirty inside and outside. The trunk was in a bad condition and so are my sofas now. Highly disappointed and dissatisfied with this service from such a big company. Is this what you promise to your customers? I reserved a truck at the Livermore U-Haul. I made a call to the store and they told me they did not have the truck available. They said that I would have to go to the Danville U-Haul to pick up the truck. This was very inconvenient for me. As it was a lot further away from where I was picking up furniture to move it to our house in the West Bay of San Francisco. I was only given 10 extra miles to make up for The difference I felt like I should've gotten some extra miles possibly 20 extra miles instead of just 10 as it was quite a longer destination from Danville to Livermore than it was to pick up the vehicle in Livermore.Michael B.

As other reviews on Yelp have said, the owner of this U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer is very rude and disrespectful. She also illegally charges people the wrong price for items, and tried charging us double on our rentals when she shouldn't have. We now have to dispute the charge with our bank because she will not refund us; And we have a receipt that says otherwise on the true charge that she should have done.Sheree D.

Worst customer service at pick pintel I believe was her name and the first haul truck was filthy smelled like feces had dog hair EVERYWHERE I HAVE PHOTOS and second truck was not legal to be rented there was a chip right in the front of the driver sided windshield it was not easy to drive but I had no choice because it was the only one they had left.christian D.
I've had issues both times I have used this Uhaul location. This most recent experience I opted for the contactless key pick up behind the office in the parking lot. I arrived around 11:10 am, approx 10 minutes after my scheduled pickup time of 11:00am. I noticed the key wasnt available in the lockbox and my order had not been processed because I was prompted to go inside the office when following the pickup instructions on my phone. I went inside (no customers inside at this point) to an get help and instead of an apology for not having my pickup prepared for when it was scheduled the associate was rude saying I needed to complete the 'contract' on my phone before I could pick it up (as if to blame me for why the truck wasn't ready). Mind you the contract couldn't be accessed until the associate processed and prepared my pick up. She went outside to begin preparing the truck and I followed her out - it was now approx 11:20am. After checking the truck she returned inside - myself and my partner waited outside with the truck anticipating her return. After about 10 more minutes I was wondering what the hold up was and returned inside to see her attending to other customers. She could have apologized at that point or let us know she had to attend to other customers in the store - but she let us sit outside waiting for her to return under the assumption we were still being attended to. She finished with the remaining customers in the store and finished preparing our order 40 minutes after our scheduled pick up time - this experience was completely unacceptable. 1) She could have been kinder and apologetic about not having our order ready on time. 2) She could have notified the other customers she had to finish up with us first before attending to them. 3) She could have just had our order ready for contactless pickup by the scheduled time of 11:00am. Instead it wasn't fully prepared until 11:40am.EVAN P.

Location was fine, but doesn't open until 9am so that's limiting. My issue is with UHaul overall - they changed the pickup location of my rental and I had to drive much further than I should have. Also my reservation was supposed to be mobile pickup but that changed too. I was charged "Safe Move" fee for two days while I had returned the truck after 5 hours within the same day. I had filled up 6 gallons of gas prior to returning the truck. The invoice showed that an added amount for 2.8 gallons of gas. The total miles driven on invoice was 45 miles. Even if the truck has a mileage of 8 miles per gallon, six gallons would have well compensated for 45 miles. This U-Haul franchise owner cheats!SANDEEP B.

I strongly disagree with your policy of not providing a credit when you returned the vehicle with more gas than expected specially now the gas is so expensive. I overfilled gas by around $65 Dlrs and was not given a credit. I am moving and have been renting trailers and trucks and buying boxes and moving materials.
