My original reservation, which was made 2 weeks in advance, was not for this location. I was not informed of the updated pickup location until I arrived at the original location, starting the whole rental process off on the wrong foot, pushing back my timeline, and affecting my mileage. I was given a number of excuses as far as why I was contacted, all of which were ridiculous, I work in customer service and these excuses definitely wouldn't fly where I work. I will give credit where it is due- I was told that I will receive a $50 guaranteed pick up credit for this inconvenience. Additionally the location it's self was adequate, which is represented in the score above. Once I arrived to the updated location I feel like they took advantage of me being a women and upsold me on the additional insurance. I told them I didn't want it when originally offered and two employees, one being the manager, pressured me into reconsidering as they reiterated that this was a "commercial vehicle" and regular car insurance wouldn't qualify. They never took the time to explain financial responsibilities if I denied the coverage and was in an accident, they just kept pushing the coverage. After a 5 minute conversation going round and round, where I tired to deny the coverage multiple times, I gave in and purchased the policy almost out of desperation so that I could get on with my day which had already been negatively affected. When returning the vehicle later that day I heard the same staff member check out a male renter and when asked about insurance he declined and the staff member said "ok, if there is any damage you'll be responsible" and let it go. Why the double standard? I rent with Uhaul because they are supposed to be a reputable, respectable company but I did not feel respected during my transaction. With the stress of moving and the manager being part of the upselling in my earlier conversation I didn't bother bringing up my feelings to them upon return, I didn't want to hear any excuses. The more I thought about it the more it bothered me, it's not about the money, it's about equality and good, trustworthy business practices. Is this what Uhaul wants to represent, inequality, sexism, and being untrustworthy? Also let it be known this is not my first negative experience with Uhaul, but after the first instance I figured I'd give them another chance which was ultimately a mistake. I will not be renting from UHaul ever again.

The van I reserved was locked behind a gate. I was unable to access it on my own. Had to call and wait to have access to it despite having a self-checkout confirmed the night before. The manager, John was amazingly accommodating!

I needed to move some stuff out of my house last minute and I was able to get a truck within an hour. The gentleman that assisted me was kind and new what he was a doing. The van was clean and nice. The pickup and drop off was quick and convenient. I would recommend this place to everyone that is moving!

When I picked up the vehicle from a self storage palce, I asked when they would be closed for lunch. I was told from 1-2 so I palnned my return as close to 2;00 as possible so they would be back. I returned the vehicle after only driving 20.3 miles and figured I would let them put in the gallon of gas needed since I was not used to driving under overhangs, etc. After the employee checked the vehicle he said it would be a $30 charge for the fule cause it was a smidge below a 1/4 tyank and theycan't rent with less than that for fuel, btw I have pictures of the gage..it really was not even moved. I said then let me go to the corner...200 yards away put in $7.00 of gas and I will be right back. It took about 5 minutes and when I returned, he had left for lunch...mind you, I was told he was going between 1-2 and that is why I waited so I could get a receip[t. Called the next day, spoke to the owner that made a 100 excuses for his employee. I will not return to this location.

Uhaul rep was on the phone the entire time. He asked for my credit card and ID and then explained to me where the truck was parked and gave me the paperwork and keys to go find it. Upon returning it was the same thing. He didn't check the truck just took the keys and said he will check it tomorrow!

I was in a time crunch and running early, I was helped and got done on time! This was my second Uhaul of the morning. The other Uhaul was by Segerstrom and as I was walking up, before I got to ask a question, was told "don't open til 9." So I was pleasantly surprised at the Baker location. Very nice man.
