They had my truck available but the black door was frozen shut. At the time we weren’t sure it was frozen, just that it wasn’t open. When I called to ask for help, the woman told me to just use a lot of strength or a crow bar. I’m 7 months pregnant and didn’t have tools with me. This should be checked prior to allowing customers to leave the site. She also didn’t apologize for the inconvenience— very much made it feel like my problem during my two hour rental.

Shannon, the clerk who scheduled my vehicle in the beginning was fantastic! She was quick, thorough and very efficient. When I returned the vehicle, she met my concerns with professionalism, contacted the proper supervisors, made out a detailed report and gave me an incident number for my records. The store was closing and she and her other desk clerk kept saying they were pleased to stay over to help a repeat customer. She took a bad situation and saved a customer for the future. I hope she receives the proper praise for a job well done on both ends of the experience. I have rented well over 75 U-hauls over the decades and I was prepared for this to be my last. This clerk made it known that my concerns were important to her and that U-haul would see to it that my concerns were taken care of. Let's see if anyone else does

My truck was left on the lot 4 hours after I had rented it (was not after hours). However, it wasn't checked in until the next day and I was charged for an extra day. I called customer service to correct the error. Also, the app is not very user friendly- the main issue is entering your date of birth- it requires you to scroll which is very time consuming- I am over 50 and it took a long time to do it since you can't just enter the date manually! I didn't use the app as a result!

The entire encounter was fine until I seen my receipt and seen that I was charged $21 extra from dropping the truck off at 8:30 pm (after hours) which was before my 1:00 pm expected drop off time. I probably will not use Uhaul again

I mostly did everything on mobile device. Very convenient but took a little while, I guess because it was my first time. It will be more convenient and pleasing if approval wait time is at least 10 min or less. But everything else was awesome.

Drop off done after hours requiring use of a website. My cel signal was not terrific. Location services had difficulty verifying location. Had to use cel data to download an app which ultimately worked out. Not thrilled with the drop off procedure or with the app/web service. Alternative is to charge me more money so that a person could take care of it the next day -- well, I am not interested in being charged more. Relying on internet and location services is a bit dumb -- tech fails all the time. This could have been a bigger headache.

Transmission on truck is going out truck would not shift gears and gas tank wasn’t on a half of a tank when I got it so I shouldn’t have to pay 24 dollars for gas

It is very rare that I need a uhall truck. Tonight I rented one for approx. 3 hours to move some furniture. The initial rentingnif the vehicle was fine. But, the driver pulled the truck around and then returned to the office. He didn’t explain that I needed to use the link that was sent to me to take pictures and start the rental process. Additionally, when I returned it took way way way too long to return the keys and vehicle. I had to log on to uhall, create an account, take pictures along the way, turn my location services on, on my phone, start the truck back up and take pictures of the gas and mileage, .... the problem?? I have an older phone. And, it was dark outside and I was the only one standing outside trying to check out after hours. It must have taken me 30 minutes to create an account, load all documents, and answer all questions. I was very frustrated with the process. You have to do better for those who are not Teechy and have older phones. #fail!
