Drop off after hours

Showed up on time at 8:30 in the morning to pick up my rental that I had set up on the phone earlier in the week - "self-dispatch" - the rental apparently had not been set up yet by the owner. Had to call U-haul, who then had to call the owner of the shop, who then had to come to the location to basically set up the entire reservation again. I was at the location for at least an hour before I was finally able to leave with the truck. The owner was nice about the situation but a huge inconvenience that delayed our plans to move. I wish ZERO STARS was an option.

While I did appreciate Alexanders Automotive, I did have an awful experience with UHAUL leading up to my rental. I received an email from them saying that my location was going to be Colonial Self Storage. When I got to Colonial Self Storage at 9 to pick up my truck, no one was there until 9:20. When she did come she said that she didn't have my truck, and that Alexanders had it, but that I would be compensated $50 for the misunderstanding. She called her boss and another "dispatcher" and asked them both to give me the $50 but they both refused. Even though I never got confirmation that my truck would be at Alexanders. I was verbally told I would get the $50 refund and it seems to be stated online that I quality for one, yet I did not receive it. I am very dissatisfied and would not use U-Haul again.

Everything was great from start to finish. The equipment was like new which further made the whole moving process easier.

friendly and helpful staff. to improve your service, you could allow dropoffs of trailers at the front, and let staff pull them to the back. the storage area for all rental items is in the back and is difficult to maneuver in and i suspect not everyone would be comfortable with what is required to get the trailers back into place.

Equipment we'll maintained, not as clean as it should of been. Two empty water bottles were left in the cabin. The gas tank was not completely at full when I picked up the van, which cost me additional gallons when refilling the tank.

The truck was well maintained in that it got us there and back without any issues. However, the inside of the truck was not cleaned out from the previous customer so my wife was a little upset about that. Maybe a little better focus on that would be a good thing.

I would never recommend this U-Haul location! I was ignored by the emplyoees and had to wait endlessly both at pick it and delivery. The customer experience was worse than poor, it was horrible.

Originally had a self checkin reserved for this location, unfortunately they neglected to leave the keys anywhere and Uhaul didn't realize this until I'd gotten to the location at the appointment time and had to be redirected to another location.

This is a local repair shop first and foremost which is not a bad thing in of itself, but the lot was filled up with sooo many vehicles/etc which might make it unapproachable to some uhaul customers....Though didn't bother me very much.

Once I came back to return my trailer I waited for about 10 minutes in line to be told that they had no space and that I needed to take it to another location. I would have preferred to have been told that as I arrived! I then drove it over to the other location and after telling them that I was sent there from Clemmons, she was not happy. No big deal for me but communication could have been better.

Hard time finding a place to park. It was also frustrating that we left just under a half tank of gas and only needed to leave a quarter tank. We were chaged a fee to fill it to quarter of a tank. If someone had been there they would not have been able to charge us because we would have a witness. If you us uhaul, take a picture of the tank when you leave it.
