The equipment was NOT there. I called several times before making the 45-minute trip to pick up the truck and no one returned my calls. When I arrived they just said, "We don't have a truck for you". They had nothing to say when I asked "Why didn't you call me?" U-Haul sent me to another location to get a truck.CHRIS G.

This is not for the location above, but for Uhaul in general: In the past I've rented from UHaul and had nothing but great experiences. With this most recent, it was anything but that. The reservation number is 26764905. This one was a disaster from the start. My truck was changed twice before I ever picked it up, and I ended up with a bigger truck than I needed. My reservation was also changed to a virtual check out, which I DID NOT want, and never want. Of course, that didn't work at all so I had to call the dispatch number to get all that sorted out. On top of that, a "computer error" had the wrong return date for me, and a location over an hour away. I again had to call and get that sorted out. When I attempted to return the vehicle to Andy's Inc (100 W 19E in Burnsville NC) there was no location to be found. That address is an empty lot on the highway. I dropped the vehicle just down the road at a place called the Tradin Post. There were a good many Uhaul vehicles there. I still don't know why I couldn't drop the vehicle just up 19E from my house in Spruce Pine rather than drive 20 miles to Burnsville. Needless to say, this entire experience was extremely unsatisfactory and disappointing. I expect much better from Uhaul, and I hope something is done so this isn't a repeat experience.Thomas B.

I wanted an appliance cart and when I picked up the truck I wasn't told I needed to take one from the office to the truck. I assumed it was already in the truck. I ended up not using one since I didn't know I didn't have it until it was too late to go back and get it. I asked for the $10 to be taken off my bill but it hasn't been as of today (4/28). This is the only downside to the experience I had. I would have hoped that my $10 would have been returned since I feel it was an error on the part of the rental agent in not telling me that I needed to take a cart to the truck from the office.Robert B.
