The equipment was NOT there. I called several times before making the 45-minute trip to pick up the truck and no one returned my calls. When I arrived they just said, "We don't have a truck for you". They had nothing to say when I asked "Why didn't you call me?" U-Haul sent me to another location to get a truck.

The only bad thing is the truck smelled of cigarette smoke and the website was not very user-friendly. Everything else was great including the people.

This is not for the location above, but for Uhaul in general: In the past I've rented from UHaul and had nothing but great experiences. With this most recent, it was anything but that. The reservation number is 26764905. This one was a disaster from the start. My truck was changed twice before I ever picked it up, and I ended up with a bigger truck than I needed. My reservation was also changed to a virtual check out, which I DID NOT want, and never want. Of course, that didn't work at all so I had to call the dispatch number to get all that sorted out. On top of that, a "computer error" had the wrong return date for me, and a location over an hour away. I again had to call and get that sorted out. When I attempted to return the vehicle to Andy's Inc (100 W 19E in Burnsville NC) there was no location to be found. That address is an empty lot on the highway. I dropped the vehicle just down the road at a place called the Tradin Post. There were a good many Uhaul vehicles there. I still don't know why I couldn't drop the vehicle just up 19E from my house in Spruce Pine rather than drive 20 miles to Burnsville. Needless to say, this entire experience was extremely unsatisfactory and disappointing. I expect much better from Uhaul, and I hope something is done so this isn't a repeat experience.

I wanted an appliance cart and when I picked up the truck I wasn't told I needed to take one from the office to the truck. I assumed it was already in the truck. I ended up not using one since I didn't know I didn't have it until it was too late to go back and get it. I asked for the $10 to be taken off my bill but it hasn't been as of today (4/28). This is the only downside to the experience I had. I would have hoped that my $10 would have been returned since I feel it was an error on the part of the rental agent in not telling me that I needed to take a cart to the truck from the office.

This site was not very friendly. NO ONE was wearing a mask, with 4 people in a tiny space. It was as if we're not in the middle of a pandemic. This was below the standards I've experienced in the past from u-haul. I would expect your representatives to be more responsible with the public.

Was triple charged, the girl at the front desk was no help at all, and extras were added to my without my approval. She kept telling me to UHaul.com because there's nothing she could do. When I told her it over charged me an additional $60 she just smirked like she was about to laugh and kept saying she doesn't know why just call UHaul.

UHaul rep had just inspected the lot the day before however the trailer I rented's right turn signal was not functioning properly. I know the wiring in my car is good because of the open end trailer I use at home.

We didn't have any problems with the rental. We rented a truck for the afternoon to deliver toys we collected in memory of our son. We collected more toys than we could take in our cars, so we needed a uhaul.

The location smelled horribe in the office. I could hardly stand being in there. I believe the trailer I rented had a wheel bearing going bad or an issue with the brakes because the trailer pulled extremely rough.

Next time, either call us or email us when the location we went with does not have what we reserved. We should not have paid for the extra mileage of what we reserved. We were suppose to pick up a truck from Brightleaf Tire and Auto just to drive to Clayton to pick this truck up

Yesterday I went to this location to drop off the auto transport upon taking the auto transport I let them know that's the only equipment that was supposed to be dropped off, the manager didn't care he said he wanted the truck also, i let him know long as it's not gonna be a extra charge we can drop it off there but my truck was supposed to go to uhaul in Clayton a actual dealer so this Mom and Pop location basically left a family out of a truck by taking the truck. So after giving them the keys we let them know that we needed to put gas they told us it doesn't work like that as if they had checked in the truck already little did I know this truck is just now being checked in so we technically could have put the gas in what a way to scam us

Our families always drop off here. When we pickup local to haul the kids back to college the staff is always friendly and efficient. Drop off is usually unattended but the following day they close the deal promptly. We'll see them next time!

This final pick up location in Clayton NC was great Unfortunately the first location on Riley rd in Wendell was HORRIBLE no one showed up to work that day. Then we were transferred to a second location, they didn't have the fitting to make the plug work on my vehicle. So we switched to a truck versus a trailer and ended up in Clayton. Thankfully they were great.
