I come to usual on 8/11/17 to rent a uhaul when I walked in no one was around for 15 mins I walked outside to call the location and still no one finally someone came and I purchased my rental with very poor customer service he then walks me outside and points to a uhaul lined up with all the others once I get in the retap sign is still in the window and I had to back up between the other rentals I've never had to do this I was there the previous Sunday and the employee was awesome had the truck pulled out and started but when I got home with it and opened the back it was dirty

The ordering process and the return process was really fast. The AC in this truck did nothing to cool the driver side of the truck. Passenger side freezing. I also thought that $0.79 per mile was very high.

There was dirt and gravel in the back of a flatbed trailer. The tailgate of the trailer hinge was all seized up, and the pins to hold the tailgate up was bent. I was over charged. I prepaid 50 miles drove 37. And was not reimbursed. I was charged for 2 days when I brought the vehicle back on the same day 1.5hr before closing. Very unhappy

I am extremely disappointed with u-haul! I made my original reservations in mid April so that I would be all set for June 2nd. I made my reservations with the Springfield u-haul and I even went in to verify my reservations early that week to be sure I would be all set for that Friday and was told that I was. Then I got an email on Thursday June 1st saying that my reservation for a 26 foot truck (I wanted a 20 foot truck) and auto transport would be ready at 4pm (I had made it clear when I made my reservation in April that I needed it 1st thing in the morning, for which I was told no problem). When I called springfield on Thursday to clarify, they stated that the truck would be available at 7am but the transport wouldn't be available until around 2pm, I wasn't happy but it was workable. Then Friday morning (June 2nd) I called springfield to make sure the truck was going to be ready when I got there because I had a crew coming to load it, I was then told that the transport was there but they had no idea when the truck would be available. I informed them that that wasn't going to work and asked them if they were going to pay for the crew i had coming to load it. That's when they transferred my call to the reservation call center, and with some looking they found me a truck and transport in chicopee, Massachusetts (people in chicopee were great). When I got there they gave me extra miles to cover any additional mileage i might have incurred having had to go to chicopee instead of Springfield. But by the time I got to loading the truck I was now already 2 hours behind schedule (again not happy). When I finally made it to Kentucky the place I returned the equipment they were nice also. I later found out from family that this had happened to them and they claim u-haul let them have the transport for free. I had used u-haul many times in the past but never got the treatment I got this time. Because of this, my wife and I will never use u-haul again if we can help it. Sincerely John Aubin
