The van was great and clean. However, the location where we picked up the van seems very mismanaged. There were almost 20 people total standing in line waiting. We waited for almost an hour for a van I had reserved online. There were only 3 people working on a holiday weekend and none of them seemed to work with any urgency despite the growing line behind me. They repeatedly said outloud that they didn't know where certain vehicles were. I would go back based on the convenient location but I would absolutely not go back on a Saturday and I would get there when they open.

There was nobody at the desk when I went in. I'd feel better if there was somebody there. They came out, eventually.

When I returned the truck, the man working here blamed me for old damage. He said there was a hole on the roof. There was no leaking and we never noticed it. But we noticed existing exterior damage all over the truck. I hauled upholstered furniture and nothing was stacked. I told your male agent that I would argue this roof damage in court. No agent has ever done a walk around any vehicle prior to renting at this location. We have been given keys inside and told what lane number to access truck. Every truck we rented here has been beaten up and was damaged at pick up. The male agent on Tues June 12 at 9:30am was very rude. He told me the Uhaul insurance policy I purchased was no good and I am responsible for the roof. I had been trying to reach someone to open a business account at this location, but my experience here with your male agent makes me not want to do business again! I should add that the office was empty what I arrived to return the truck key. After several minutes I heard banging behind the office back wall. I walked to the door at the corner and said, "Hello, is anyone working?" Your male agent said, "I am." He was banging on a white personal vehicle, hatch up and full of clothes, that he had on a lift.

Whenever I arrived at the U-Haul location a girl was helping two customers. She was very friendly to them and walked them to their assigned truck. There were two guys (workers) there who were at the front counter. I stood at the counter for nearly 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. They were having a conversation dealing with nothing about work. The guy that checked me in was very rude and spoke to me as if I was an imbecile. I definitely could tell that he was a racist. A white guy came in to return his truck and the other male worker went to inspect truck with the customer; nothing was said. A black guy came to return his truck and when the other male worker go with him he says. “Let me know if you have ANY issues and I will stop what I am doing and come.” He made slick comments to me as well from my ID to me knowing three working numbers. When I returned my rental, the nice, young lady helped me. This has honestly been my worst experience with any company and is very unacceptable. I can tell that the company allows their employees to act in this manner because he was too comfortable. When time allows, within the next few days, I am going to post this on every social media outlet and on multiple review sites.

The only issue was that I was told to have the trailer back in the morning by 10:00am. I didn’t rent this until right at closing time the previous day. She did say it’s required back at 8:00am so that was ok, but I’m having trouble understanding why you have to pay so much for less than 24hour rental and why the equipment needed to be back so soon after renting. I had this equipment less than 24hours. Is this a 24hour agreement or something else? Please respond back with feedback so in the future I can make a better choice who to rent equipment from.

We rented a 10' truck for our trip that leaked in several places inside where you pack boxes, bins, furniture, etc. While there's a sticker that specifically states water resistant, not water proof, you expect a certain level of comfort to trust your things won't be ruined by the time you get to your final destination. However, there was standing water on boxes, bins, framed, printed, glass free pictures were splattered with water, which degraded the appearance of them now, and puddles of standing water were inside the truck. We weren't told of any possible leaking, which means the trucks aren't maintained, and left us disappointed with the situation. Please check your trucks at every location for leaking after it rains, so they can be sealed. It could be a whole lot worse for someone else whom may be carrying very expensive furniture or paintings, or other irreplaceable things.

The reservation process was very difficult. The mobile app was unusable, The website would not find this location via zip code when trying to find the trailer closest to me. It was suggesting locations 20 miles away. I finally directed website to look ONLY at this location and I was able to make the reservation. Mobile/website experience needs work.

When returning the equipment (moving van) there was an extensive wait. No one was in the building and it was not at all clear if every one went home or they were in the back somewhere. There were 3 individuals ahead of me that stated they were waiting 5-10 minutes and did not know any more than I did. After waiting about 7 minutes it because obvious that the employees were overwhelmed & very busy. I know it is difficult to judge how long each customer will take when away from the "desk" or building. A sign or notice that stated that all employees are assisting other customers either at the desk or door would have eased all temper of most of those who were forced to wait. One of the customers that was waiting to return was armed with a "concealed" (but completely visible) which made those that were waiting somewhat uneasy. I never was in fear nor did the customer carrying the weapon do anything that should have made anyone feel uneasy.

Why offer Express Check in using the U-Haul phone app if it doesn’t work? I had to wait and answer questions asked by the office staff that I had already answered online.
