Initially, I was impressed with the help I received in reserving my trailer and scheduling trailer hitch installation. Tyra went above and beyond to help me get everything done in time for my planned move. I had the installation scheduled the day before my move at noon, so I brought my car to Uhaul at noon and my reservation could not be found. The associate said he had to wait until his manager came back and would call me, so I left my car there so the work could be completed. I received a call at 4:45 telling me that I needed a ball hitch and didn't have a reservation for a trailer. When I said to please install the ball hitch, I needed whatever was required in order to attach the trailer, I was told that the store was closing in 15 minutes. When I asked if they could finish the install the next day, I was told "I guess I could come in on my day off and do it." I thanked him and asked several times to clarify what time it would be done by, and he finally settled on 10:00 am. I received a call at noon the following day saying that my car was hooked up and ready to go, arrived at the store one hour later, and my car did not have a ball hitch or trailer attached. When I asked about it, the associate (TJ) walked away from the counter and left me wondering what was happening. I followed him outside and he said "5 minutes." About 30 minutes later, he brought my car around and it looked ready to go. But when I asked if the lights were hooked up, he realized he hadn't done that, so tried to connect the lights. He was having a difficult time getting them to work and told me that the mechanic would have to come back and do it. When I asked when that would be, I was told, "He'll be back today." My plan had been to get on the road that same morning, as I had a limited time to drive all of my belongings across the country in an already stressful move (I had to be there in time for my aunt's memorial service). I was upset but maintained my composure, focusing on just making sure this got done. I let him know that I needed to get going and this had already taken a very long time, and he was finally able to get the lights working. So, 24 hours after it should have been ready and two hours after I was told it was ready, we were able to get going. But, he had installed the ball hitch upside-down so that the foot of the trailer was about an inch off the ground--every tiny little bump in the road caused the trailer to hit the ground and you can imagine how nervous that made me, with everything I owned in the trailer. I didn't know how I was going to get over any speed bumps. But luckily we found out we could flip it over and raise the foot a couple inches. Additionally, the chain was dragging on the ground and sparking, causing people on the interstate to pull up and tell us because they were concerned, so we taped the chain up. I don't imagine this is a standard for your installations. This was the worst customer service I have ever receiv

Service was slow, especially as they already had my information on file (pre-registered). Could have had someone taking care of incoming vehicles lined up. Had to flag down an employee to ask them do do something so I wasn't hanging out in the middle of King street. Not Safe! Especially around closing time when they KNEW vehicles were to be returned.....

Lower the price! We were stranded in Charleston with a broken down vehicle and had no choice as we live over 200 miles away. If I had a choice I would not have rented at this price from UHaul.

My overall experience here was unsatisfactory. The first rental I did at this location was uncleaned. The "owner" was rude and does not belong in uhaul branded equipment rentals. The second truck(this turn in) process was unsatisfactory. The employee sniveled over a kite string width of gas. Subsequently charged me 6.00. I will return here. I will post the dissatisfaction I experienced on my facebook account for all to see how lousy this location is. Final remark. My bill was very high this time. The vehicle road rough and was banged up on one side. I don't know if I would rent again. 19.99 became 40 something dollars to fast. I thought a certain amount of miles was free.

The van had a good bit of damage but the uhaul rep was aware of it. The tire pressure sensor light was on but the vehicle drove fine. The employees at this uhaul location were nice, especially the drop off guy.

Have the girls at the counter to be more polite...... When I returned the truck..the young lady was less than friendly...in all, she was rude and condisending.. when I asked her a question... I am 66 years old and found it to be unnecessary for her attitude.... So I just left....
