First, I will not be using the mobile check-in option again because it actually took more time than just going to the counter like I normally do. I got there, followed the steps and the truck I assumed it was sending me to had no numbers on the bumper (at least that I could find) like the app said. I went inside and couldn't find anyone...even yelled "hello" a few times. That's when I noticed the little "can't find my truck" link. It gave me another number to look for. This one I found, but it was blocked in by another truck. I went inside and someone who worked there had just arrived so I asked her and she got the keys to both, moved the blocking truck and gave me the keys to my new one. I finished the checkout process on my phone and was good to go. The truck itself was clean but did smell like cigarette smoke. I don't blame UHaul for that, they can't control what people do in their equipment. The oil change indicator was on the whole time, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was overdue. When it was time to return the truck it was extremely busy and the line inside was almost to the door. There was only one person working the counter so for every person returning something she had to go outside with them to finish the process, leaving the rest of us standing there waiting even longer. A second person could have made the process a lot faster. Thankfully, the truck I was returning was in the way (because the line of vehicles and trailers was so long when I got there, and the parking lot is not designed to handle high volumes like that) and the guy working outside had to come get the keys from me and move it. When he came back he took me out to the truck and finished the checkout process for me, even though I was the last one in line. Not a great experience overall, but not terrible enough for me to write this place off completely. But again, I have written off the mobile checkout completely and do NOT recommend that.

Just a quick comment. The air conditioning was non-operational at the location. The guys at the store said it had been down 2 days. Seems that's something corporate should be more responsive about.

The vehicles sliding door stuck open because at least Three corroded un lubricated door rollers. After lubricating rollers the door was able to be closed.

The Auto Transport rachet required special attention, in order for it to release on the strap.Fortunely, the the Drop off location personal had a pair of channel locks, to turn the axis, thus unwinding the strap.

It took 40 minutes to rent a trailer in which I have rented numerous times from a different location. It took 2 minutes to hook up and go!

We left a piece of a bed frame in truck 1/2"X2"X6' that we needed and returned to pick up the same day. I was charged $30 for cleaning for that piece accidently left in truck. We swept out the truck and restacked blankets as we did two days prior when we rented a truck. I was also charged $18 for fuel when in fact I topped off the tank with just over four gallons of fuel. I have the receipt. Drove less than 50 miles. Exact same trip two days prior. Put in the same amount of fuel on that trip and was not charged. I would appreciate my credit card refunded for these charges. Thank you.

Your damage inspection method using photos transmitted to customer's cellphone is terrible. It is virtually impossible to view any detail on the photos in bright sunlight. Trying to revert to buying the damage waver insurance, I find I must go back to the office the start all over, a process that took 30 minutes in the first place because the computer was locked up..

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, there were only 2 people working on Friday morning. I waited 30 mins in line behind 3 other people. The person at the counter would have to fill out the contract, ring up the person and then run out to the vehicle to do an inspection. Very inefficient and it caused a bottleneck at the counter. When I left after being helped, there were another 3 people waiting in line. Perhaps they need to reevaluate their system and/or hire another person for weekend mornings. Otherwise, it was a good experience. The van was comfortable and sufficient for our needs. Thank you.

Trailers was beat up. The roof leaked when driving in the rain. I always have to wait too long to rent and the rental process takes too long, especially just to rent a cheap trailer.

And when I returned the trailer back later that afternoon, Craig Collier was just as friendly and efficient at getting it checked back in so I could be on my way. Thank you again Craig, great job!

We had a reservation and it took over 30 minutes for us to get checked in and hitched up to the trailer. We wanted to upgrade to a larger trailer and had to wait in line for another 15 minutes only to find out they did not have a larger trailer. We brought the trailer back after 3 hours of use to drop off. The service guy unhitched the trailer and said we were good to go. I asked if we needed to sign anything and he said No. He would log it into his device. So we left. Today, one day after the rental, we received our receipt of the rental charges. For some reason, Uhaul charged me for two days rather than one. We only had the trailer from 10am-1pm. So I called the business number only to sit on hold for almost 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer. Once I did get someone, they redirected me to customer service because of a billing problem, only to wait another 15 minutes on hold. Finally able to talk to someone. They noted my claim and said they will submit the claim to management. It will take 3 business days to resolve issue. Unbelievable. I will be not be renting from Uhaul again nor will I recommend this location. What a hassle for three hours of rental time.

It wasn’t you but our original rental was at The Oddie Blvd. location up in Reno. We got a notice the day before that we had to pick up in Carson City instead (what happened to our reservation?!?) a 30-minute drive away. That put us over our original miles planned, meaning we had to pay for the extra miles of going to CC.

Have the equipment available at location in Gardnerville, Nv at local store. Ended up driving 24 miles one way to pick up trailer. Local store would have been 1/4 mile. Local dealer had the trailer a day before.
