Worst experience ever there was so much miscommunication. I made my reservation with a month notice and when the day came to get my hitch installed they said they might not have the parts and the person installing it called off. I was supposed to pick up the trailer at a location in Reno but they didn't have it there so had no choice but to drive to Carson city to get one. I would never us U-Hal again

It was not this locations fault that they did not have the equipment that I had originally reserved at another location. The reservation team called me letting me know, the night before that I had to go here for a smaller truck that I had further issues with (detailed in my next review) This site was very helpful with what they were given, however the reservation process through the company is ridiculous.
First off customer service when you called and it's terrible I rented a enclosed trailer for 2 to 3 days I told the girl right First off customer service when you call Lynn it's terrible I rented a enclosed trailer for 2 to 3 days I told the girl reckoning Wednesday at 7 AM and returning it either Thursday night or Friday morning wasn't quite sure what time I will be getting done due to the fact I had other appointments The girl on the phone said no problem going to the Carson City store to pick up my enclosed trailer the gentleman was quite helpful and give me the trailer that I ordered when the manager of the girl there told me I have to have the trailer back 7 AM Thursday morning. I told her that was impossible well that's when the problem started again she refused to give me what I ordered and instead gave me an open trailer well I'm hauling paper long story short had to return the trailer early because of weather and the customer service rep and the manager at the Carson City store both failed I will not support a system like that worst customer service ever

Finally a good U-Haul experience!!! California U-Hauls are not easy to deal with during these times.
Gerardo is fantastic-kudos to HR for finding him, especially as he apparently has to work alone. Your computer system, however, obviously is a burden as every store we've been in has issues with the irritatingly lethargic system in place. Good people, much better equipment now as well.
The gentleman checked to see if he could reverse the insurance .... but he could not
The telephone tree isn't very good, I was on hold for 20 minutes before talking to a human and when my call was transferred I was disconnected, causing another 20 minute hold time. The people at the Carson Valley pick up local were fantastic.
Will be my go-to spot for future UHaul needs. Excellent location/service.
This truck was the worst I've ever rented from you. The door came down on my daughter's hand causing severe bruising. Then the back door stuck in the up position and wouldn't close. Sat in the dark waiting over an hour and half for roadside service. Going up hill the truck had very little power even with the gas pedal all the way to the floor. I have rented your trucks many times but was sadly disappointed this time.
Uhual never sent me a bill or a receipt until an entire month after our rental. We expected them to charge our card automatically as every uhaul does. They randomly charged us $40 a month later but told us we still owe $70... This should have been charged and handled over 30 days ago but here we are.
I checked the vehicle in online before the time it was due but it didn't get checked in until the morning and we were charged for an extra time slot. The online check in and return does not work correctly

I must admit that I was disappointed with the scheduling. I have made reservation for a 26' truck weeks ahead. only the day of p/u a truck was now available. My moving was on a very tight schedule and everything was placed on hold for 3 days. Many people involved with my move had to re-arrange their schedules. Then I was only able to rent 2 10 foot trucks. This also caused all a great deal of time and trouble. Your staff was doing the best to accommodated my need. How ever it placed additional stress the move.
Renting a pickup truck with this office was a snap. Friendly and helpful. The truck was practically new and performed flawlessly. Thank you for the great experience, keep up the good work. I will be renting a pickup from this office again this fall
There was a long line. Despite being on time, it took awhile for me to get the trailer checked out.
While I had no issues with â€˜this location', overall the interaction with u-haul was poor. From the reservation process, to our reservation being changed without notice, to slow customer support. If we need these services again, we will look beyond u-haul. It was a poor experience from beginning to end.
Wait time was 20 minutes in line before anybody even talked to me. Once I was help it went pretty fast. Maybe need more hope!
After having gone to the original uhaul pick up place and told there was no truck (after making a reservation in advance), we drove to the E William uhaul. I was on hold with the 800 uhaul for over 40 minutes while driving and then waiting in line at the E William location. My call was finally answered as I reached the front of the line. Customer service said this location had no 15' truck (which was what I needed and had reserved) but that they had 2 10' trucks. The woman at the counter Riley, said there were â€œno trucksâ€. She was rude, surly and completely unhelpful. After customer service spoke with her over the phone, she found 2 10' trucks available miraculously. When I told her I didn't have an extra person to drive a second truck, she was angry. We asked for a trailer (there were 7 outside in the parking lot) and she repeated her favorite phrase â€œwe don't have anyâ€. We ended up getting a 10' truck and making several trips for the next 10 hours. This was the most difficult and worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul. Unfortunately, several times I've reserved a truck in the past and showed up to no truck, so this wasn't even the worst of it. Sure made the day 100% worse than it already was.
We had a horrible experience and honestly would not use this location again. We checked in early online to avoid a long wait, uploaded all of my information, etc. When we got there Riley at the front desk informed us that there was an issue with the equipment not being returned, and that the general manager had caused the problem and needed to resolve it. We could see the available auto trailer we needed in the lot. Riley was very professional and obviously just as frustrated as we were. Thirty minutes later the General Manager Geraldo (?) finally shows up and cancels out our entire reservation and starts again. He was extremely short with us and was badmouthing other customers in front of us. An hour later we finally got on the road. When we came back to return the trailer four hours early, I tried to back the trailer in to the spot it has come from as a courtesy. I got out of my truck to make sure this is where I should leave it and asked a young looking male employee if this was ok. He said "I don't have time for you right now, you need to get out of my way." After this EXTREMELY disrespectful interaction I still did my best to back in the trailer despite the employee hollering in the background. This Uhaul is full of rude and incompetent staff. Riley was the only employee who we felt genuinely was trying to help and was disappointed in how this Uhaul was being run. From top to bottom this visit was a nightmare. We will not be back.
I tried using the app to check out my vehicle. I didn't like that at all. I'll not use that anymore.
Truck was not there when we got there after being moved to this location. Employees were great but 3rd time a reservation was messed up in a month.
