The person who checked me in (Chris) was not wearing a mask indoors. I found this disturbing given that we are in a global pandemic and this violates city of Cambridge rules.
There is only metered street parking during using Uhaul. It usually takes 6-8 hours, so I couldn't park my own car during using Uhaul. I needed to use Uber.
Th service was ho-hum. I was unhappy to discover that in additional tto daily charge and mileage , which I was informed about. There was also a gas usage charge that there no was no mention of either by the staff or by your online advertising. I won't use UHAUL again. It feels like false advertising.
Rude staff. Were not able to answer most of questions.

Manager needs to wear a mask when interacting with his customers and employees!! It's a goddamn pandemic. Not wearing a mask endangers us all. I will go elsewhere next time.
A man and woman helped me. The woman was atrocious - rude, curt, disrespectful, etc. I asked very simple and brief questions and she stared at me, talked to me in a rude voice, kept staring at me, etc. Secondly, they gave me to Final Receipts, for the amount charged to my debit-card, each amount was different, in the second Receipt they tried to charge me $6.00 for gas when I drove only 5.5 miles total. They even provided a drawing of the gas-gauge that had it below the 3/4 tank line, half way to the 1/2 full line. I took video of it before I left and it was only 1 millimeter below the 3/4 line. Dishonest, rude, abusive.
During this time of covid it would be nice if this location cleaned their side of the cab. Stop the spread of covid and disinfectant the van between rentals.
First I was suppose to pick the truck up in Saugus Ma . Truck was to have both blankets and hand truck. Had to drive to Cambridge. Cambridge only had a hand truck. Cambridge location was inconvienet Shoud get a discounrt since my pickup location was a Saugus MA

Chris was very helpful and nice and went over with me to inspect the vechicle, showed me how to use the app and adjusted my mirrors.
The lady who attended me in renting the vehicle was such unfriendly and unprofessional behavior with me. It was the worst experience I ever have in the U-Haul. I believe customer care is critical in this business. I hope the company will give well trained how to behave with a customer.
I used this location to install a hitch prior to my move day. Since I was new to towing , I asked the store general manager about what all I needed to tow a trailer. He advised me that all I needed was to install a hitch and that the rest can easily be taken care of the day I come to pick up my trailer. On my move day, I was about to pick up my trailer when the same general manager told me that I will be unable to tow a trailer since I was missing trailer wiring and that he couldn't accommodate a wiring request for at least 5 days!? Prior to this point I had not only consulted him directly regarding towing requirements but also called the location beforehand more than once to confirm that everything was in order for me to tow a trailer. The same general manager even installed my hitch earlier! I was lucky that there was a truck with a trailer available and that I had the resources to pay the $900 difference to immediately switch my reservation plans. I felt like the store general manager mislead me and was disingenuous. His offer of providing me with a wiring appointment 5 days after my move date was simply unacceptable since who has the luxury to reschedule their move by 5 days? The fact that this happened after all my effort to make sure I was prepared on the day of towing left me with a bad taste.
Customer service very very poor. Talking on the phone at the same time Talking to Customer. Don't explain well what a Customer needs to know. Hoping that we know everything. We are not employees, but we are Customers who brought you business.

For my needs, everything was easy from pick up to drop off. I really can't think of much more improvement to be had.
Once I reached this location with the truck to drop off and store my stuff in the storage box, my storage box didn't have a lock in it, the first month of the storage box was supposed to be free but I still had to pay for it and the crew did not tell us where to park the truck. I had to find a spot myself along the street and park.
The location was great though the vehicle I was driving stalled in the middle of a freeway and when I brought it back the technician brushed it off like it wasn't that serious. He said it was probably in manual mode but it was in drive and I feel like there should have been some sort of compensation for that considering how high of a safety hazard that is.
I was charged the flat rate of the 15' track ($10) and the cost per mile of the 15'. Overall, I was overcharged $35-40. The person on the front desk was unfriendly and perhaps rude. When I shared my concern about pricing, she ignored me. I needed the vehicle for a family move! However, it is unprofessional from a customer service point of view! I won't recommend UHaul to a friend.
