Well, aside from something going wrong with the reservation and getting a late start by three hours, I guess it was ok. I reserved a truck using 24/7 option because I wanted the truck at 6am and the location didn't open until 9am. We got there at 6am and when I went through the steps on my phone, it said no equipment had been assigned to my reservation. I called customer service and the options were to wait until 9 or talk to someone about getting a truck at another location. Well by the time we messed with that then drove a half hour to a different location, it wouldn't have been worth all that. The lady asked if I was sure I checked 24/7. I said yes, and I have the email that proves it. Whatever the issue was, it was extremely frustrating. I will be looking for another company next time.

Rubber grips or something on the back bumper area would be awesome if it wouldn’t get ruined.....something to help with grip when shoes are wet. The grass was wet and stepping up onto the truck I couldn’t always use the ramp until I was on the truck. I used the ramp to go to the landing by the front door so we wouldn’t have to go up and down the stairs....I had slipped and completely lost my footing but I was lucky to be holding the handle so I didn’t fall completely. My friend however was not so lucky. I felt so bad, he came to help me with the heavier items that I couldn’t do myself and stepped up and slipped and hit his leg right on the truck. He hurt his leg really bad. I’m thinking it might be broke, it don’t look right but he has not gone in yet because he don’t have insurance right now so he’s just staying off the leg. I would imagine this is probably something that happens often with the trucks and honestly I’m not sure if there is anything that U-Haul can do to make that safer, I know that sometimes other people don’t respect others property and might ruin it but I thought I would mention it. Over all though U-Haul was amazingly helpful and really nice. I received the service that I was looking for plus some, I got upgraded to a bigger truck because they did not have the size I ordered there which turned out to be very useful. Thank you. I will have to use U-Haul again really soon to move my things from Hastings to Kalamazoo mi.

This drop off location is also part of another business. The actual U haul guys were already gone when I arrived. Luckily my husband and I were able to unhitch the car.

I wanted to pickup and drop off in Wayland but there was no car hauler available. I don't feel that I should be charged more to still drop off in Wayland because you could not get a hauler there.

They operate multiple businesses out of this location. Their attention is divided on that. Was also asked questions that were answered online to shorten pick up time. I hooked up without any assistance and had to wait for the employee to check lights because he got distracted and forgot to come and check

Be clear on when truck can be picked up . I was told 8 am . However got an email saying truck would be ready at 10 am . I did show up at 8:30 to pick it up and everything went smoothly

Make sure to verify the fuel level prior to renting out the vehicle. The computer that I was using when I was doing my paperwork before getting the keys said it was over half of a tank and that I would be responsible for returning it to that level upon return. When I checked the fuel level once I got into the vehicle, it was more like a quarter of a tank. The employee came out and took a picture and handled it really well, but that could've easily resulted in extra money out of my pocket, had I not noticed and corrected it.

Your self service was horrible. I was cleared to show up early morning and after I proved my identity.... then was asked to provide two contacts and phone numbers. I was left in the cold while you woke people up to confirm they know me. Extremely idiotic, and poor. I was never warned in the process that this would occur. I’m telling everyone how poor this experience was and hope your moron senior exec who came up with this idea is fired. I’m still furious about this, as my reservation was cancelled. I’m considering suing for damages.

It wasn't the location - it was the process. It was great to be able to pick up and drop off on a weekend, when the location was otherwise closed. The pickup process went fairly smoothly but it took a long time and felt somewhat cumbersome, perhaps because it was my first time doing it using a smartphone. The drop off process was confusing; given how cumbersome the pickup was, I was expecting more at the drop off, and when it was just 4 simple steps I thought I was missing something - like taking a picture of the gas and mileage gauge. Because of this, and the fact that there really didn't seem to be closure at drop off, I went thru the process several times before dropping the keys to make sure I wasn't missing something.
