I would give a ZERO star review but sadly that's not an option. This past weekend was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I will NEVER use UHAUL again. At the time of picking up the Truck, the guy at the front desk looked up the wrong reservation, which I only noticed because I asked exactly what we were being charged with. He said a truck and trailer. I didn't rent a trailer, only a truck. So back to square one pulling up the correct reservation. After 3 tries, he finally figured it out and found our reservation. The guy said there is 3/8ths of a tank of gas in the truck, and return it with that same amount, but when we got home only 5 miles away, we noticed the tank was almost empty, so clearly he was incorrect on how much gas was left. He also did not do a walk-around/inspection with us before we left. If he had, he would have seen the gas meter. We returned the truck with the same amount of gas as what we were given (not 3/8ths but even less), which they tell you to do, and we have now been charged a total of $79 for gas ($30 service fee + $49 in fuel). I've called to speak with the manager there and have not received a call back as of yet. Also, when we got the truck home and opened up the back, to start loading it, there was broken glass in one corner and no furniture pads in truck. Again, if they had inspected the truck after the last person used it they would have seen the glass. For all of those reasons, I would not recommend UHAUL to anyone I know.

I turned in equipment at 2pm on Saturday. The clerk took it off my hitch and inspected it Was told I was set, I would get final paper via email in a few minutes. By 3pm still not done. I called for 4 hours. No one would answer. Sunday, again, item not checked in. It is now listed as late on my account. I called starting right at 9am and no one would answer. I spoke to 6 different customer service reps at the national phone center. Not one could help me as VT refused to answer their phone. They SUPPOSEDLY sent VT messages to call me. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Morgan was rude, dismissive and unhelpful. I was shocked by her behavior and tone. I have never, ever, spoken to a manager asking for an employee to be dealt with. But if that is her attitude? I would fire her. Rudeness from a customer service supervisor is unacceptable. Period. They kept telling me "it was no big deal". Yes. It was. It was MY credit card on file with no proof I returned the trolley. It took a FB person to finally get it resolved 29 hours after I dropped it off. Only person who even tried to help. Leah from FB was phenomenal. I cannot thank her enough. It is not acceptable a store refuses to answer it's phone for 2 days AND that corporate has no way to reach them. What if it was an emergency? There MUST be a fail safe to reach them. I still have not received my promised phone call and apology from the VT store. Disgusting. Mistakes happen, they forgot to check it in, ok. But to ignore the phone, corporate, messages for 2 days. Unacceptable. And the rudeness by the customer service people on the phone? Training needs to be done.

I was incorrectly charged for fuel after drop off. Check in and check out was essentially non existent. No walk through or mileage check. I'm not sure if this is a COVID precaution or new operating procedure. I contacted UHAUL about the error in charges the day of my return and still haven not heard from them. I will be calling today. Truck was well maintained and clean, customer service were polite and fast but again, no thorough checking in/out

Customer service was good. Greeting from employee's on initial entry could have been better. Once I got to the counter and figured out what rep was going to help, they were courteous and friendly. I do believe the manager assisted me.

Only average as we dropped the truck off on Wednesday Dec 30th and they did not check it in until the end of the day on Jan 1st and are now trying to charge us for all those extra days - HASSLE!!!!


none of the associates were wearings masks in or outside of the store even when dealing with transactions. there is a mask mandate in our state and in our city

Requested a dolly and it wasn't in the truck. Not sure if that was my fault but I feel with doing everything over an app then I should have had the dolly in the truck waiting for me

This is the only uhaul, so I don't know what else to recommend. But the truck was surprisingly dirty, especially since when i pulled up they were washing another truck. It was difficult to see out the windows to leave the lot! Also, I asked for a dolly and it was just sat next to the truck and I had to load it myself (I'm very short and had a hard time lifting it in) which I found strange. Also, the key drop box was just flopped open which made me a little nervous about leaving the keys on drop off! I took a picture just in case though, worried about getting charged for something I can't control! The manager, Jordain, was very nice but the worker I dealt with was very standoffish.

Where to start? The heater worked, but that's about it. The truck was filthy, and this U-Haul location wouldn't wash it on request. The gate was rusted and difficult to open and close, as was the latch and the ramp. The brakes were adequate but not great. The driver's door and window gaskets were so loose, air rushed in constantly making the cabin sound like there was a hurricane. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the steering was loose and the suspension virtually nonexistent, causing the truck to drift and making the driving extremely difficult and unsafe. The steering fluid was too low, causing the truck and steering wheel to groan, gurgle (seriously), and difficult to turn and maneuver. This truck never should have been rented as it was unsafe to drive. Go to another location.

We rented two cargo vans.There was garbage and cans in the back of one van. Crumbs on the front seat and definitely had not been wiped down. I don't know your standards for covid 19 cleaning but that aside we were very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness in the vehicles we rented. Also the second van as soon as I turned the key the change oil light came on and one of the back tires was low in air. I was dropped off there to pick up the van so I had to take it anyway and make another trip back the next day to swap the van out. We expect when we rent a vehicle they will be clean and ready to go right away. We will be renting from elsewhere next year.
