The equipment I reserved was unavailable at the time of my pick up. There were no dollys or other equipment available to replace it. I recieved the truck with a little less the 3/4 gas in it and returned it with the same amount of gas and was still charged for gas. Overall experience was average.

- We lost 4 hours of event set-up time for a major gala fundraiser due to uHaul's issues. They told me my contract does not cover mileage so they'll only reimburse the 'guaranteed on time' fee and gear that never showed up, then some mileage. Most companies would provide a refund when they cost us this much in opportunity cost. - Early check in was not available when I tried to check in - The website said Regional Mgr avail 24/7, he did not answer his phone, - There was nowhere nearby to wait inside (it was 15 degrees F outside), finally left and came back, then shop owner was rude. I finally asked him to please stop being so mean to me and he changed. - I was sent out to inspect a truck. I did and reported damage. They then gave that truck away. - I inspected next truck and the gear we rented was missing (I called 3 days prior to confirm the time and gear). - Customer Service helped by changing Rental from self-check to standard check in so I could leave. They sent me to another location to pick up the gear. They said the mgr would be waiting with it. - I went to the other location. They did not have the gear or know I was coming. I spent another 40 min on the phone. They gave me a dolly, but did no shave the pads for rental OR sale. - We lost valuable time due to these issues, I tried to memorialize each step with Customer Service along the way. i was told someone would call me in 24-48 hours "to make it right" as we are a non-profit, volunteer driven, and this really affected out event. Our request to have the items donated was denied because the company is focused on basic needs (food), but it would be nice to follow up given that foundation / connection and the issues. Nobody called. - I tried to return the dolly to the second location, as requested. They were closed and didn't have after-hours drop off. I left it in the truck per Customer Service (more time on the phone), but when I returned the truck, I could not access the website / check in. I did leave the keys, take photos and call customer service, but it was frustrating that nothing went smoothly and it affected our event. - I would still appreciate a manager's call and/or the External Relations team to follow up or re-consider the donation.

They didn’t have any extra equipment I needed so it shouldn’t have been an option upon booking U-Haul and upon booking I did not add coverage for damage and they snuck the charge on there when I went to pick it up. Review your bill because they are sneaky and when I called they were giving me the run around about issuing a refund for both till I contacted a manager and he resolved the issue for me. He was very professional unlike these people at this location. They just want to take your money

The woman at the location was very efficient. However, I was billed incorrectly and charged $49 for a 19.95 rental. when I brought it to the attention of the woman at Empire she had to wait for me to speak to someone else. I eventually received my money but it took more that three days of U-haul taking over $80 from my checking account. I really don't know if I would recommend u-haul to a friend

If you check your records, I can be easily deemed a very frequent customer - I have rented from multiple locations in the Bronx, Queens, and Long Island. So when I state that I would rather carry my property and furniture on my back than return to this location, you can ascertain the degree of disappointment. First, the cargo van was very dirty with multiple unmarked damage. BUT most significantly, the proprietor was the MOST rude, un-customer oriented representative I have ever encountered - it was like I BOTHERED him with my patronage. Mind you, there was only ONE other customer in the office at the time I approached him with validating my "Self Check out" - so he was not overwhelmed. He tried to be intimidating, but to no avail because I am a 6'2" 245lb retired Marine - "That dog didn't hunt"! Lastly, if I were in UHaul corporate, I would revoke his franchise because he is deeply disgracing your brand and reputation.

I returned the vehicle the same day I rented it shorter than the nine hours I originally scheduled it for...and was charged for two days because they were closed when I returned the vehicle at 8:30 PM Eastern time and they were closed on Sunday so they just assumed I had the truck the entire weekend which I did not!!! I am still disputing to get my money back for two days

Truck was full of loose tobacco everywhere, and smelled. I brought the truck back with the same exact amount of fuel and they still charged me for fuel.
