Truck gas tank was WAY below the empty line. Was told I’d get a gas credit if returned with 1/4 tank. Only went 13 miles total - put $25 in the tank - didn’t quite reach the 1/8 mark. Was told no credit. Added $23 worth of gas - for what? I got ripped off. What happened to pick it up full, return it full? Never again.

We had a reservation for 7 am and the clerk did not show up until 7:45 am. Very inconvenient. The equipment was old. The afternoon representative was very efficient and professional. Immediately offered a discount for the delay in the morning.

They need to make sure the driver’s seat can be adjusted. I had to have help, and a UHaul worker adjusted it. The seat was close enough to make do. But there was no way for me to further adjust it. Otherwise, the truck was in good shape.

Customer service was horrible. Reserved a truck and they didn't have one. They gave me a van. Waited 10 minutes in a empty store for a rep to come out, so I could return the truck. To then he didn't say anything to me and just said I was all set. Just told me my total. Very unprofessional

The gentleman who I returned the vehicle to was very unprofessional, he didn't want to do his job and stated I could do the return myself over my phone. I was very disappointed in his service and attitude.

Adequate maintenance of your vehicles should be given a top priority. I don't really enjoyed the van I paid to use. It is obvious it is not properly maintained.

I did ask that cash be paid at end of rental. When my brother came in to pay cash, he was told they had already billed it on my credit card. I strictly ask that the card not be charged, because we would be paying cash. Was not happy about that.

They did not greet us when we walked in, the path to the desk from the door is all blocked off with displays and boxes. We had to walk around everything like it was a maze. We walked up to the counter and they barely spoke to us, they were more interested in talking to each other. I finally got their attention and the guy spoke so low we couldn't tell if he was talking to us or himself. Then when he FINALLY gave us the keys, he didnt even walk us to the truck, he pointed in a general direction of where it was parked and let me find it myself. It was cold out and it was cold in the truck because someone left the driver door open. I won't be coming back to this location!

Made my reservation for a 20 ft. truck 2 weeks before my move and pre-paid for it, then spoke to a representative the day before my scheduled rental and he assured me the truck was there and ready to go - he even emailed me a confirmation. When I got there at 7:30 am the next morning, there was no truck. While supposedly "seeing what he could do", the store manager spent most of his time on personal phone calls and took a very lackadaisical attitude toward my situation. It took almost 4 hours to get a truck, and while they gave me a credit on the overall rental it was no where near sufficient to cover what I had to pay to the moving teams at both my starting and ending locations for their waiting time, not to mention the distress I experienced. It may not be the end of the world, but when your out-of-state move is structured around picking up a truck first thing in the morning, and you've been assured by an employee at the location that the truck is there, it sucks to find that it's not. And there was no culpability or sense of urgency in rectifying the problem. I'd heard at another U-Haul location that Brockton U-Haul had problems, but I chose to make my reservation there regardless because it was the closest to me. I only wish I'd listened to the anecdotal evidence beforehand. If I should ever find myself in need of renting a moving truck in future, I would go to pretty much any company other than U-Haul because I need to work with a company I can trust and count on - to know that a confirmed and pre-paid reservation will be treated as something meaningful instead of a crapshoot.

Service was fine, but the truck was a piece of junk. Interior visors were falling off, the seat belt light and buzzer kept going off even though I had my seat belt buckled. Good thing I only needed the truck for local use. Also, I was charged for gas due to their misreading of the gas gauge, which I didn't realize until I received my emailed invoice.

I rented over the phone and that process was very easy and smooth. They had my number from a previous rental so none of my information needed to be given. I was impressed by that process and check in and check out was smooth at the location too.

To drop off my truck with the app required that I share my location with the U-Haul website. I do not like sharing my location and would rather have an alternative that still allowed me to use the app.
