When I told the lady checking in the truck that the truck leaks inside, she didn’t seem to care at all. Tried to tell her where it appeared to leak and she seemed not to be interested at all in getting this information from me.

The steering wheel/tires needed a wheel alignment and the transmission had a problem. Of course, that can happen with vehicles. The larger problem was that I called this location ahead of time you ask what to expect since they would not be open at the time of my scheduled pick up (and the web site button to "pick up my truck" was grayed out) and I was told the keys would be available to me. What the person did not say (nor did the website) was that they did not reserve a vehicle for me despite my receiving a reserving number. And upon my clicking "pick up my truck" (which was only accessible to click once I was sitting in the Uhaul parking lot), only then did it say no truck was assigned to my reservation number. Just under that message, the number and gentlemen's name that the website said to call was answered by an individual's answering machine that didn't even say it was part of Uhaul.

Drop off was convenient as they had a drop-off “check-in” that was staffed. The gentleman disconnected the trailer for me and I didn’t even have to park the trailer.

Right turn signal / brake light did not work making driving dangerous and stressful. This condition was noted and supposedly corrected at pickup location. It was initially suggested that it wasn't an issue if the driving lights worked. To my knowledge the light never was repaired. How about compensation for driving with hazardous conditions? These were not self imposed. I was misled about the safety of the unit that I was relying on to safely communicate my driving intentions. Shame on the Uhaul employeesl who did not do their jobs diligently! Response?

Clean trailers. Sand all over the front trailer I picked up. Also making the customer hook up to the trailer prior to completing lease Is ridiculous. If you need to check truck, the check in process should be outside and not require the customer to pace back and forth while the manager sits at the counter.

The wait was very long with only two people ahead of me. There seemed to be confusion, a lack of organization, and miscommunication amongst the staff behind the counters. Right side of windshield and right side side view mirror were covered with mud, requiring me to stop and clean them before getting on the road. Tank only had 1/8 of fuel requiring an immediate fuel stop.

The guy who helped me “Joe” was awesome. Even though they were extremely busy I noticed he was working very hard to take care of everyone there and got me out and in my U haul rental in less then 10 minutes. He should be recognized for his hard work. The guy was literally running back and fourth to get things done with not much help from his co-workers. Just wanted to share my thoughts. Well ur call center should not over book the locations first of all when ur my reservation u expect wat u reservated not get there to find out they don’t have a truck u need which then in return cost u more money cause u had to get a smaller truck and do more trips

I reserved a pickup truck. When I arrived there were no pickup trucks available. I had to take a 10, cargo truck. I needed to pull my trailer however because the trailer hitch is a bumper hitch there was not enough clearance to use my trailer so I had to return and rent a trailer as well. I returned the following day to exchange the cargo truck for a pickup truck. The reservation error cost me 3 return trips and additional funds for the trailer.

Have more than ONE person at the front desk helping people! Saturday is a busy day, so everyone waited about an hour to be helped with a long line of people waiting. Very annoying! But, the truck was nice and clean when we finally got it.

Truck has failed on me right after about 50mls of driving. Light came on that the fuel tank is not tight and the board comp was giving me all kind of warnings. In fact, i took the truck with full tank drove of and did not refuel until that happened. So, I called for help, lost about 2 hours in my driving , a mechanic came and fixed it; HOWEVER, in the report he wrote "customer fault for not following the requirements" . I guess just to get off U-Haul responsibility for poor customer service with giving a truck. I was delayed for hours to my final destination in NYC, spent extra night in a hotel, labour guys scheduled to unload truck left with a bill to pay, I had to reschedule the truck's drop off about 65 mls away. After all these horror, I call 5, yes five times to U-haul about my experience and guess what, NO ONE called me back, NO ONE!!! I had spend $500 extra for what I consider U-haul fault Yes, customer service ppl were nice but that was it; What they say is that in file stated that "it is customer fault not checking the equipment" ---really? Still, after 3 weeks trip there is no one who called or e-mailed me; even today, May 4 2018, I was on phone 3 times with U-Haul and they hanged up on me EVERY CALL Irresponsible, NOT customer oriented, EVERY family renting trucks with Uhaul PLEASE make sure check everything and ASK questions ahed of time.
