Cab was dirty and smelled of smoke. Rear still had a box and other items in it. Had not been swept out. Rice spilled on the floor. I pointed this out to the clerk. He put the box a On the ground and returned to his store.

We did have an issue with the lights not working, but it may have been a wiring problem with our car. I’m not sure. My husband took it to another location and the guy re-wired everything. It worked great the rest of the trip. :-) When I called and booked, everyone was VERY helpful, professional, warm, and friendly. Great customer service experience. We actually needed it a few days longer than the system allows you to book, so they put me through to someone who could help me extend the time. But a few days before we were supposed to return it, I got an email from “equipment recovery” saying that our U-Haul was not returned on time. I’m guessing that for some reason, our extension didn’t prevent the automated system from flagging it as unreturned. When I called the number on the email, the guy was super nice and he took care of it, as well as adding an additional day that we needed. We didn’t use it for moving, but to pull behind our little SUV for a family camping trip. It was just what we needed and the price was right! The biggest thing I would say, is that the customer service was a perfect ten. So hats off to whoever hires and trains your employees! I hope your promote within the company, because the people we dealt with certainly deserve to be rewarded for going above and beyond. We’re happy campers! Kim

The location should be more familiar with basic questions regarding a reservation order. They could not confirm what drivers were listed. Also when I called Customer Service I could not reach anyone. I called for several days.

When customer is scheduled to pick up a U-Haul they should be able to come and pick it up and leave not wait come back wait come back I had a very bad experience rent a U-Haul my customer service was unsatisfaction I would not recommend it to a friend or family my schedule was to pick up the U-Haul at 10 a.m. but instead I pick the Uhaul up at 2 p.m. Keep going back and forth to the U-Haul place in Pelham where I supposed to pick it up I did not receive it he called and had me to she kept give me the runaround about picking up the U-Haul I kept saying her I had bro Statesville but this one because they sent me from Pelham to hear and she kept telling me no but one thing she don't understand but one thing she does not understand English and that was my bad as experience

Make sure your personnel know how to drive the vehicle with a trailer attached! Employees would not back the trailer into a parking spot, even though I refused to do it three times. I had to struggle through this, as the individual checking me in would not do it.
The guy was 30 minutes late from the time Uhaul section was to be open causing me to be late for the movers I paid to be at my house. Why even have opening hours if you are going to be there.

Our first assigned pick up was very rude, we left without picking anything up. We called customer service and was able to pick up at Farr's, but the lady wasn't very clear. She stated you can rent the small truck for same amount $ as the trailer. She failed to mention the insurance cost and mileage cost, plus fill up. The "rental" cost may have been the same, but details on the addt cost wasn't included in her statement, which could have been very misleading to some. Then on pick up date they placed hold on my account, when we returned the truck mileage was less, so they charged my account, until the hold amount is dropped, I have over 200 in expenses for this uhaul, very misleading!

The person who was able to complete my order was not there when I arrived. After about a 45 minute process and waiting for him to show up and then struggling with the computer he was not able to properly process my order. He told me that someone else would come in later that day process it and that I could take the truck. I never received an email. The truck smelled like rotten milk. When receiving my bill I was charged for the safe move when I declined it both online and in person.
