Manager was efficient and very nice to deal with. Truck wasn't particularly clean, but not too bad. The windshield was very dirty. I had to clean it the first thing. The truck performed well.

My "garanteed" 9am pick up in antioch sucked! The facility was closed and uhauls phone customer service sucked. I got bounced around for 30 min before learning i had to drive 40 miles out of my way to pick up my truck in Berkeley. To top it off, when i returned the truck in sacramento you trued to charge me for extra milage! Kidos though to the Berkeley uhaul group, they took care of me

When I buy a 'self service' van for the weekend it would be great if it was actually set up. Upon arrival I was informed by the app that there wasn't a vehicle assigned to my booking, despite booking it 2 days prior. I tried to call the number given to me by the U-Haul app, only to get a text message back from the number telling me that they can't talk right now and to call again later. By now it was 15 mins after when I had booked my van for. Another 10 mins passed and a car turned up with a few employees in it. They told me they weren't open until 8am (it was 7:25am now) and hey couldn't help me. I explained my situation and they looked up my booking to find that my reservation hadn't been entered into the system until 7pm on Friday night (32 hours after I booked) and they were closed by then so no one had left a van and key available for a self booking. The lot they have there only has one way in and out, and they had to move close to 15 trucks before being able to access mine. By the time I got the vehicle it was almost 8am, one hour after I had paid to have it by. They charged me the full $119 for the rental. I have since called to get a refund to be told that after reviewing my complaint, they feel it's fair to refund me $50. Less than half of what I paid. Absolute shambles and an absolute disgrace. I will never use U-Haul again, massive disorganization and NO communication with customers. Shocking service.

Miles add up, and van drinks a ton of gas, so it does get a little pricey. But service was calm and respectful and polite-- even on a crazy Sunday when half the town is moving at once. Return service was also polite and efficient. Good team of workers on 6th street!

Tail gate on the rented open trailer was out of alignment so the left slider to lock the gate in closed position was nearly impossible to set in place. Safety issue.

rented uhaul online, got to the location, confirmed with staff i could park my car in the designated area, and confirmed i needed to return the truck before next morning. then i came back at night to return, not only lot was full, but my car was blocked as well. i had to uber home, and today i had to uber there to pick up my car. i need reimburse for uber and for my time. goodmega8@yahoo.com

The counter help was rude and very un-helpful. I found the Gilman location older lady counter help to be very un-professional and condecending. It's was as though i was a nuisance to her and that i was a bother for her to deal with all these bothersome customers.

Forgot to report that the truck had two issues: Tow Load kept going on by default, and the padlock was stuck. Good thing I tested it before putting it on the door: Once I locked it I couldn't get it unlocked.
