Sara S.Trailer was in terrible condition. Could not pull car fully forward on car hauler due to damage. Ramps were very hard to use. Tie downs were in terrible condition. This was my third time renting these types of trailers from uhaul. This was the first time using a damaged trailer.

marina B.I have so many problems with what went on with my truck rental starting with it was supposed to be picked up at 8000 San Leandro blvd by 1:00.I arrived there at 12:20 after calling first to confirm I could come early and everything was there(needed an appliance dolly also).after arriving guy took me out to see truck, we went back in to finalize paperwork and then it all went sideways.I was told the truck I was supposed to pick up was in berkeley……seriously that's another 20 miles the opposite way on top of the 16 I had already went which I will add up to an additional 80 miles overall which I will have to pay the gas for.And at this point I really didn't have a choice everything and everyone was already set up so ,The guy said they had sent me an e-mail but why we were arguing it popped up on my phone at 12:50 which I showed him and said this e-mail?So we drive to Berkeley and when I get there he informed me they Don't have any dollys though but Thornton in Fremont does(seriously I was dumbfounded how completely unprofessional and ridiculous was).so I drive and get the dolly in Fremont those people were very professional and I was finally set now that I had truck I could call and get the location in Lincoln I was dropping it off at like I was told.So I call the traffic division and they tell me there is no place in Lincoln I need to drop it off in Auburn(I was furious and said you must be ***kin' kidding that's 45-1hr away uphill who is paying for all the gas this is ridiculous….. then she suggests yuba city and I told her NO you need something closer I was told before I changed this to one way there was a drop in Lincoln.Finally she says the only place she could find was 15 miles away in Roseville so YES at this point I'm pissed moving is stressful enough but add this much incompetence into the mix and it all goes out the window.But I will say Viola at Sunrise was a pleasure and the ONLY reason I might consider u-haul again…..but realistically odds of that are still slim to none just to many problems and gas was extremely costly with the extra driving.Oh and one thing I found very odd was when leaving Berkeley they never walked the vehicle with me to confirm condition or gas and never had me sign anything?So I called traffic and they had me submit photos and verify gas which was wrong it was 3/8 full not half cuz I took a picture at yard cuz they said it was half full just really ridiculous how unprofessional the whole process was except for a couple of amazing people(Viola and the Thornton team)
Dave P.They didn't ask us if we had any issues with the truck, or any other curiousity about the equipmenbt. We would have told them about the engine light on, but they didn't care enough to ask, so we didn't say anything.

R Todd K.For same-day local rentals, it would be great if there was customer parking available on the lot. It can be difficult to find nearby street parking, which is limited to 4 hours.

Christine M.I was told the gas tank was full, but when I started driving the gauge read empty. I went to the gas station to fill up but the gas flow clicked off right away. I figured the gauge was broken so I went straight back expecting a new van. The attendant told me it would be fine. So I left assuming I had a full tank and broken fuel gauge, already annoyed. I ran out of gas on the freeway and had to try to get to safety without power steering. I had to call AAA and the police to help. I filled the gas tank afterwards, and it kept clicking off because it had been tampered with and siphoned prior to my rental. The fuel gauge worked but the tank was tampered. This put me in an extremely dangerous and stressful situation, and added 3 hours to my trip. I returned and was talked down to about the time and miles of my rental, and received no allowances or discount. I shouldn't have to pay at all for this rental so I will have to keep going out of my way to make a fuss with uhaul and get my money back. GET A GATE.

I was given a quote and the keys. And an email for the confirmation. I returned the van intact, but myself tired. The gentlemen handed me my house & car keys and my backpack with a understanding smile. Really, where would I be without this customer service. You guys rock!

I told one of the employees that the truck was empty and he said “so what, they is all emptyâ€. The man behind the counter was rude and surly. This place made me feel unsafe. They tried to overcharge me. The absolute worst experience.

The truck bed was dirty, and had lots of weed plant remnants left on the bed floor. The whole truck smelled very strongly of weed.

Sean S.The only thing that irked me, and would reduce my business in the future is how returning the truck with the gas tank situation was handled. 1. Picked up truck, gas was at 0 2. Filled up truck to full, cost was $123 3. Used truck and used 5/16ths or so of tank. 4. Returned truck and got $28 for gas credit, with more than half the tank remaining. Other than the gas situation, the experience was great. However, only getting $28 back on something that I spent well over 60 on doesn't feel great to me.
