The owner of the U-Haul was extremely rude and impatient. Also the trailer came without the proper light hook ups and I was told that I needed to provide the extension so the trailer would have lights. Glad I never have to deal with this man again.

Tim inside the store was sleeping and his employee on the phone with her guy friend, made me wait awhile before she ever bothered calling him, took several yells to wake him up. When he processed the truck, the fuel line on the sheet was circled at less than an 8th of a tank. Tim went to look at the gas gauge and said it was at a quarter. He did not allow me to use the inspection sheet to mark any of the defaults that weren't already listed. If I had not already picked up my hired help, I would have went to the uhaul on Airline, although a bit further of a drive, I had absolutely stellar service there. The truck: mud covered on passengers side, trash and dust inside, rattle trap, bits and pieces of the dash missing, listed to the left slightly and pulled hard to the left. Upon returning the truck, I went ahead and filled the tank to a quarter and took a photo of it there ( i had taken a photo when I picked up the truck showing the mileage and that it was below an 8th). When I parked the truck a guy in a wife beater came around the building and told me to give him the keys, I asked if he worked there, he said he was an owner. I reluctantly handed over the keys and he went to take pictures of the fuel gauge. (? It just keeps getting shadier with that fuel gauge.) so I go inside and someone has woken up Tim again, and Wife-beater comes in to show Tim the pics of the gas gauge. Tim says oh you didn't put enough fuel in it. I confronted him about his having remarked the fuel line on the sheet and showed him the pic I took of the gauge when I picked it up. He winks at me and says we'll call it a discount, that's he's going to give me a break today. Then says that my receipt will come in the mail. I told him no I wanted my receipt right then, he refused and said I would get it later, I told him I wanted to know the price right then. He finally prints a receipt and hands it over. I'm still waiting for mysterious charges to appear on my card.... Don't go to Plank Rd. I though I'd save a few miles, not worth the stress of worrying you're going to get ripped off soon. The Airline at Greenwell Springs location is worth the drive.

They were unaware of my reservation, made me wait along time while accepting utility payments and selling food, put me through a bunch of junk that the other location hadn't just 2 days before. I'd only recommend this location if it is closest. It was generally an unpleasant experience. They wasted a lot of my time, but the equipment was fine.

I made a reservation for a truck in Lafayette, but instead got a call to confirm my reservation 40 miles away in New Iberia, LA. After talking to the rep from the New Iberia location, they informed me that I would not be able to pick up the correct truck I was supposed to pick up at 9am. Instead, if I wanted the truck that I reserved, I would have to wait till 2:30 just to get it, which made no point on why I even set a reservation. So I ended up having to call customer service where I got redirected to Baton Rouge, 71 miles from the location I wanted to originally pick up, and only got credited 60 miles, even though that wasn't enough to cover the extra mileage. Once I picked up the truck, which I had to downgrade the size of the truck because of the availability and location. The rep didn't walk around the truck and inspect it, and then gave me paperwork that said the Truck had a Full tank when really it only hand a 1/2 tank of fuel, so again I had to go back into the location to get it corrected, which put me a hour behind the original reservation time. This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with renting anything in my life. The best way to improve for the next customer would to be able to let the customer know that the correct truck wont be available at least 48 hours before the pick-up, instead of the night before, and that will save your customers for the headache of having to call around to get the proper equipment that was reserved, instead of everything but that.
