Van was filled with stuff and then it wouldn't start. Had to unload everything Very frustrating as the last customer said they had the same issue. Mechanic thought they fixed it they let me be the one that figured out that it was still not working. Complete waste of my time and zero apologies were made by the company.Eric M.

Nothing, however I had and extremely unpleasant issue arrise on my end. After the friendly staff helped me get a car hauler quickly even without an appointment, I was almost done. Mike, i believe the owner, went out to hook up the hauler for me without delay. I thanked him and got halfway to the location, called the seller whom apparently sold the vehicle despite our agreement the night before. I returned and once again the receptionist was extremely compassionate for the ordeal. Mike came out again to help me finish unhooking. Great honest people and know where to go for my next Uhaul!PAUL F.

NEITHER the number listed on the contract for the drop-off business (Ballston Lake Auto Care @ 1023 State RTE 50; (518)399-8530) or the number on the business sign by the road ((518)399-7840) worked after hours, and even when I dialed them both FROM WITHIN THE BUSINESS at 0940 hours while the desk employee was out helping the one customer in front of me THEY DID NOT WORK AND PROVIDED ONLY AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE THAT â€˜the voicemail had not been set up' before disconnecting. Oddly enough, John (the desk employee's self reported name) could neither cash me out nor give me a receipt OR ANYTHING to prove I was there and left the vehicle hauler (I had dropped it off earlier in the morning 3/02 at 6:30AM ONE DAY LATE (it was due back by â€œ7AM Mondayâ€ 3/01/21) when the place was not yet open); Mike, reportedly the owner who could settle my account and give me a receipt, did not arrive at 10AM as he was supposedly known to do per John... so I left at 10:10 with instructions to call the number on the sign & talk to him in another half hour or so. I pointed out that the numbers didn't work- he had me try it again (I speed dialed the 399-7840 number on my cellphone from before so I would be certain to dial the same number) and inexplicably this time it worked! Note that I had tried it more than once before AND even had my friend with whom I was staying independently dial the number with his cellphone- he got the same dead end message. Later at 1PM I called and spoke to a polite Mike who promised to close my account and confirmed it was only $20/day extra... moments later the invoice was mailed BUT it contained $40 extra for two days. I immediately called Mike back and to his credit he answered and after I explained that I only had it one extra day he agreed to credit me $20 back. I do not know when/if this will happen. Needless to say the whole experience was a little frustrating.AARON P.
In the future, you could provide trailer specifications. Rented a car trailer and I asked several U-haul location about the size of the car trailer. Picked it up and got it home (I should have measured it before hooking up) and the thing is only 12' or 144" long. The vehicle we going for was 203" length over all. I would have 5' for car hanging off. The wheel base 118" center to center and add 32" to fully include the tires get you 150". While yes, the actual tire contact patches fit at the extreme corners of the trailer (and I do mean extreme) it looks ridiculous and unsafe.Terry H.
The van was itself was great and the site staff were very polite and helpful. However, the notion it's an easy process to pick up and return the van when the site is closed is simply inaccurate. At pick-up, the app didn't work -- it kept looping me back -- so I had to call the "help" number posted on the site's door. Thanksfully, someone answered the phone and got me through the process so that I could get the key. And when I returned the van, I had exactly the same problem with the app looping back to where I started -- and the "help" phone number that's posted on the site's door didn't work either -- indicating they were "closed" and that I needed to call back the next day. Later in the evening, I tried accessing the website for return instructions (even though I had already returned the van), and that was worthless, too. I had to stand outside in the bitter cold for more than half an hour trying to complete the pick-up and return process. Someone at Uhaul central needs to fix this process. It was extremely frustrating.Patricia R.
Be aware the furniture pads come with 6 per bag, so 2 dozen would be 4 bags. I didn't get the number of pads I requested, so I had to get creative with protecting my furniture. Other than that, it was a good experience.James M.
Had 10am pickup, truck was not ready, had to be dug out of snow. They couldn't clean the top of the roof so snow blew all over the place when I was driving. Alot of confusion as to where I was to drop off so I had to find a place and call U haul. Not a good experience.ELLENMARIE D.
