THIS is the location I selected. There should not be a “preferred” pickup location, but an “actual” pickup location. I was greatly surprised when i pulled up the address from the email and found that it wasn’t either of the two closest locations, but one across town, in rush hour traffic. It took several phone calls and changes in navigation to get to the originally requested pickup location. If a truck isn’t there, get it there.

They were very busy and took all my paperwork then said they would email me my receipt. It wasn't until later that I realized they had all my paperwork. I was very nervous when they called Monday morning asking me if I was going to return the vehicle. The did find it later and email me but I was very nervous till then.

The equipment was very clean but the vehicle needs an engine service. The motor was straining often and seemed to be misfiring. I drove it almost 14 miles total ( I was just moving 2 miles ) and it used almost 10 gallons of fuel. The staff were efficient and friendly.

While experience your nation-wide online outage, this location had all manor of examples of how to handle the situation. One employee was verbally coarse when trying to tell another employee not to answer their office phone due to the high-volume of people both in office and calling in. While his advice of allowing the call to go to the call center seemed to be a responsible way to handle their particular situation, needlessly YELLING IT ACROSS THE STORE IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS WAS INAPPROPIATE. Additionally, another employee verbalized (several times) his confusion in handling his customer’s request combined with the internet outage. I feel bad for this customer as I could tell he was uncomfortable with the situation. Finally, the repsentative that helped me appeared to be cool, calm and collected while dealing with the company wide inconvenience. This employee was polite, calm and very clear about what was happening and what he was going to do to help me. I had made an online reservation and he was able to pull it up and find it online despite the major outage. This employee was patient and understanding with the significantly slowed internet connection and maintained his professionalism. I too work in customer service and understand the panic one experiences when major issues such as the nation-wide site outage happen, however, it was both pleasant and disappointing to see how this situation was handled by different employees. I hope more emphasis will be put on the customer experience, specifically maintaining a certain level of professionalism IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS.

Everything was great except I only went 7 miles instead of 17 miles. So I'm pretty upset that I was over charged. However because I had things emailed versus paper in front of me this occurred. I guess paperless isn't so good after all. Lesson learned on my part. Just glad I had the funds in the account to cover the over charge. Thanks for asking for my opinion today. Sincerely Julie

Software is to slow. It needs a better way to process the pick up time. It took me almost 30min to get out from the UAUL office. Very disappointed. At least it should take 10 min. Hopefully one day they upgrade to a better and faster service.
