I reserved the equipment and van on 2 weeks in advance for this move and my reservation was confirmed. When I arrived I was told by the Manager blankets were not available. When I inquired to the Manager about why this happened he kept interrupting and talking over me. I became agitated and asked him to stop talking over me and that I was the customer, to please let me finish what I had to say. He kept talking over me. This person has absolutely no communication or customer service skills. I will file a BBB complaint in the next month if possible and post a negative review of this location on every public forum possible in order to prevent others from dealing with this Manager. The other staff were ok.. The Manager should be terminated immediately. It was a horrible pick up experience and unreliable. I also was overcharged $7 for a dolly and the truck's steering was loose. The operation is poorly run.

Improve the web based programs the employees have to use. The employees really do a good job handling the line that formed once the web based program crashed.

Tires were not in best shape, low on tread... which may have caused blow out on way from El Paso to San Diego (delaying me for 1.5 hours).

The staff at the Research Blvd. location were very helpful and courteous when we arrived to pick up the truck and moving supplies. We reserved the truck online which was fast and easy. Returning the truck the next day was just as fast and easy! Thanks U-Haul team for making our move not quite so stressful.

Scheduled to pick up at 5pm. They close at 5pm. No notification of hours. Had to go to another location to get my rental.

Grado:

The rental truck I had got stuck when we were trying to drive back. The door to the back of the truck would not close and we had to drive 7 miles to drop it off with the door open. Once we arrived to the location, one of the staff was able to close it. The windshield wiper were very old and needed to be replaced. So we drove the entire time with a dirty windshield. The staff were fantastic and were great to deal with.

If a customer pays online, and goes through the entire pre check in prior to their arrival, you should make that process easier. They should be able to proceed to the equipment and have someone there available to hook it up, and drive out of there. Why it's necessary to wait in line for 20 minutes is beyond me. Uhaul could learn a lot from National, Hertz, and Enterprise. When I go to the airport, I proceed to my car, and drive out to a booth where they verify a few things and then send me on my way.
