Hire employees who actually know how to do their job and understand how to deal with more than one customer at a time. The man at the desk took 45 minutes to take our information about the storage locker, then gave us an outdoor unit when we had booked an interior one. He was using his cell phone and a vaporizer behind the desk and had to call his supervisor because he didn't know how to process two tenders in order for a customer to pay a bill.

Oct 10, 2017 - I worked at the Newmarket UHaul 2010-2012 in Highschool/University so I know the protocols. I called to book a trailer at 12 noon. Whichever guy had answered answered with "hullo". Nothing to tell me its uhaul, no other greeting, simply "hullo". Then an awkward pause after I responded because he didn't ask how he could help - simple customer service. Then he decided to throw me on hold and hung up after a few minutes. Train a new guy cause whoever this was needs a few more CSR lessons first.

Customer servic3 has a lot to be desired. I took the van a day early, never gave me a bill. Had the vehicle for 6 days and put 619kilometers.. could not be bothered. Not a good feeling when I left. I said I woul$ like to see the bill. He said I will email it to you.

I have been to this location for vehicle rental on 2 previous occasions in the last year. Those times I was served by a lady; she was top notch. The clerk (fellow) yesterday was having an issue returning the vehicle of the customer before me. I waited 30+ minutes for this transaction to be completed. The vehicle's odometer wouldn't convert to KM from Miles - he contacted the Newmarket store for assistance. Like I said, it took an EXTRAORDINARILY long time and the Customer was very frustrated as was I who was there 15min early to p/u my vehicle and left 15min late for a set appointment time. Overall, the clerk at the time of my pick-up seemed unmotivated, not fully trained, spoke to the Customer before me that he might be getting another job (which he should - not in Customer Service), and gave me the overall impression he was not very competent or well suited for this fast-paced position.

It wasn't their fault the truck cab was dirty and that the power steering was really tight. The truck had just come in unexpectedly an hour or so earlier and they were kind enough to give it to me instead of making me take smaller equipment than I had originally ordered.

When I called in the guy said hello but didn't say uhaul so I was confused. Then to end the call he said cool cool. Very unprofessional phone etiquette. When we got there he was eating pizza and dealing with a customer and was moving very slowly and not listening to the guy he was "helping". Very distracted. Then the phone rang and he answered it on speaker on phone and talked to a lady very unprofessionally for about 10 mins and made the other guy wait. Then he started back with that guy when the call ended and as soon as the customer got one sentence out the uhaul guy cut him off and asked me why I was there. He took forever to help the customer and then when it was our turn and we had been waiting over 40 mins already he said Yes? And I told him what I needed and he said ok but sat there for a good 3 mins ignoring me while he scrolled through his Facebook on his phone. I was astounded by the lack of customer service and his behavior. And I also suspect he might have been high at the time. His name was nose I believe. I do not know how he got employed there but he was absolutely awful. I made a joke to my family that it was so bad I thought I was on a prank show where people act awful on purpose for a reaction...sadly it was not and he was just a terrible employee.

The customer service person was non-communicative, mumbling and not helpful. I had booked a dolly and moving blankets along with the truck I rented, and none of those were with the truck when I picked it up. When I went back to ask for them, he pointed me down an alley to get me to pick them up myself.

The customer service was horrible. I have an expectation of receiving some warmth, some friendliness, an acknowledgement that my business is appreciated. I received none of that. I was very disappointed. Sure i got what i wanted out of the rental itself but absolutely not happy with the customer service! I have used this location in the past and was happy all around. I wont use it again. Thanks.

Horribly slow service. 35 minutes to return a little trailer. Didn't have my trailer at the original pick up time. Only 1 person working at the return. He never wanted to leave his desk. Made other customers go check their mileage and gas levels.

At first I was asked if I needed help to take off the trailer from my hitch. I thought this was a bit much to ask of a customer. Having said that, I did receiver the help. I am a 67 yr. old woman that came to drop it off with her 67 yr. old husband. Just thought the assumption that we could do this on our own was a bit strange.
