This was not the original pick up location, the original pick up location was 300 Peters Street, where my car was broken into in the middle of the day! The peters street location allows the homeless to loiter and "help" load/unload for cash, while all they are doing is looking around at your belongings to steal!!! The cameras to "protect you" are pointed at the brick wall.

online you really cant tell how big the trucks are I wish I could see how you can determine what size truck you need. because I had a 17' but it look really big online but when I got it ,it was small so I had to make a lot of trips to move. other than it was awesome especially with the agent at location. kudos!!

The only negative comment on the pick up location was it’s actual location... Iffy part of town (a lot of crime and prostitution). Other than that, I have no complaints (the truck was amazing! Powerful and easy to drive) and will use and recommend U-Haul in the future.

I had made a reservation for a truck and tow dolly to be picked up at 7:30 am.. When I got to the location the tow dolly wasn't there. I decided to come back and get it, since hat was an option. Although I had read in a clause online that there would be assistance with connecting the dolly to the truck and my car onto the tow dolly, the manager informed me that there was a $20 cash fee for that service. After loading the truck and returning four hours later, the truck was still not there. At this point, I was given a choice again, wait until they had someone deliver one or go and pick the reserved one up at another location. I opted to go and pick it up. After I went and picked it up and came back to the location to pick up my car, the attendant informed me that they had given me the wrong size tow dolly. The manager then told the attendant that he would have someone deliver the tow immediately and he would wave the $20 fee to assist placing my car on the dolly.. He ended up leaving the premises and I had to threaten to call corporate at this point to get everything completed for my one-way trip. In my eyes, a lot of these things should have been prevented. Management was truly off base. I must say also, that it is bad business when you are requesting anyone to pay service to a corporation and you don't get a receipt, especially something like this which is also tax related. I am not for sure if the miles were added for my drive to that other location, but that has to be dealt with.

We arrived at this location at 7:10am for a 7:30am pick up, 20 minutes early. We did not get the truck until 8:15am because there was only one person working and she had to bring the truck around to the front, do the pre-inspection, squeege the windows, and then do all our paperwork and check us out. This has happened to me twice in the last year where I reserved a truck, went to pick it up and it took an inordinate amount of time to actually get the truck and leave. We were scheduled to have the truck for 6 hours and we needed every bit of that 6 hours. Because we didn't actually get our truck at the time we reserved, we had to keep it longer than the 1:30pm due back time which meant that we got calls letting us know that if we didn't get the truck back ASAP that we'd be charged a $50 late fee. Please fix this. I enjoy using U-Haul but if this continues to be an issue, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Online it allowed me to bypass the insurance but at the location the agent stated it was “mandatory”. It should just be clear that it is based on locations or particular equipment. Also the van was FILTHY and smelled of a zoo as if someone was transporting zoo animals prior to my usage. I was annoyed after being told the “vans are newer” and then almost not be able to put the item I went to retrieve in it due to the floor being filled with debris, hair, dirt etc
