Customer service. The beginning of the experience was good until I returned the truck by handing in key to two ladies standing around at the desk. When I handed the key to her and confirmed I was done she was immediately rude and started going on about how I was supposed to use a app to check it in, when the lady I had originally received the truck from handed me the key she had instructed me to bring it in if I returned before closing. Therefore I had no prior knowledge of how to use the app to check in the truck, not to mention this was my first (and last) time using U-haul due to how I was treated for not knowing fully how to use the app. The app itself wouldn't even work because I had no wifi. WOULD NOT recommend anyone to use this location.

Did all the necessary online steps, including payment. Waited for 30 minutes while they tried to locate my particular truck that was less than 50 feet from their desk. The personnel were fine in regards to customer service. Just didn’t seem like an organized detail oriented location. Somewhat surprised that there were no virus cleaning supplies in evidence or statements regarding the recent sanitizing of credit card reader or pen used to sign agreement.


- The day that I picked up the truck: o Your computer systems were down and I was told by the person there that I could either try self-checkout or would need to come back later. I had movers scheduled and a short window of time to do what I needed. o I then had to go hunt for the vehicle as the person in the shop just pointed and said it is out on the lot. When asked about where – he told me he was not sure and to look for the id number. It took 10 minutes to find the truck when I would have expected it to be pulled up front under the canopy for a better experience. o I noticed the severely cracked mirror on the passenger side – see cracked mirror file attached. o There was very little gas in the vehicle - less than 1/8th of a gallon – see Gas at pick up file attached. o I took photos of all this and put it on the app for self-checkout. ? Note that self-checkout took over an hour due to the systems down issue. Putting me quite behind schedule. o I called Uhaul in Athens as I pulled away due to the extended time it took to self-checkout. I told them that the truck was obviously a smoking vehicle and that the truck cab was covered with ashes inclusive of a lot of ashes in the ashtray. o I told them the cab and the storage area both were filthy and appeared to not have been swept from the last usage. See Ashes in ashtray_floor file attached. o I told them the passenger mirror made the truck quite hard to navigate not having two working mirrors. o The truck has less than 1/8th of gas left in it. I had to scramble and find a gas station immediately otherwise I would have run out of fuel further taking more time from my schedule. o The person I spoke to said there was not a lot they could do until the truck was returned as processing any kind of credit wouldn’t be allowed. I understood. I called again that night to talk to the 800# folks and they told me the same however stated that they would notate the system to ensure the store knew I was not happy and wanted to the manager to do something for me about the bill. - The day I dropped the truck back off: o I noticed many of the people working at the facility smoking and hoping in trucks moving them around. o I could not find anyone that would take the return of the truck so I used the check-in option on the app and I filled out a survey as well as commented to everything that happened. o I returned the truck with 1/2 a tank of gas which was much more than I had when I got it. See attached Gas at return file extened. - I am at this point frustrated that nobody from Uhaul calls to discuss. Nobody follows up to see what can be done to keep my business – especially for a long standing consumer of your service. Instead no contact until today almost 4 weeks later with a bill I was not expecting. Please have someone call me today to discuss this. Anthony Ronghi 678-640-7430

We Pulled Up and Was Instantly Greeted. Inspection Was Done and We Were On Our Way! Never Had to Enter the Store, Nor Did We Have To Wait! I Like This New System Uhual Has Adopted! Definitely Quicker and Meets The Needs of the Customer!


We used Ubox to ship our stuff from Georgia to California. The whole process was easy and smooth. We were informed each step of the way. Used the recommended movers to unload and they were great.

The people and service were outstanding. Ronna went way out of her way to help us. i dont see how you can improve on a service that we found to be beyond perfect. It's the people here that made all the difference. It's not just the service , the knowledge of the two people that helped us but the kindness and real concern that all goes well with our trip. What I would recommend for anyone that needs help from U-HAUL from out experience is to talk to someone in person and NOT online. The people here as well as Athens cold not be nicer or more helpful.

It would be nice for them to have checked the equipment before renting it. The 26’ truck they gave me had an oil light on. I was an hour late getting out of there because they had to find another truck for me. That cost me additional money.

Posted signs state if returning equipent to wait in vehicle at the sign. There were 2 trucks already there and I pulled in as vehicle number 3. I waited 5 minutes, but hadn't seen anyone at the other vehicles so I went inside to get assistance.
