Make your app work. It's useless. If it weren't for the nice woman at the rental location, I wouldn't have been able to pick up my rental. The app doesn't work, and neither did the online pickup.

We reserved a 26' truck. A couple days before the pick u p date we were told no 26' truck was available and instead we would have a 20' truck and 8' trailer. We ended up not using the trailer and had to drop it back off at the pickup location after hours. I called for customer service and was on hold 30 minutes, no answer and I hung up. Very frustrating.

I would only recommend this place to a friend who needed the basic truck or trailer because they don't offer the boxes, blankets, accessories or anything else the well equipped U-Haul stores do. Plus the hours here are ridiculous. They don't open 'till 9 M-F and the 10 on the weekends?

Gas tank was reported as having more than what the vehicle actually had... so it cost me $8 extra just to bring it up to that level. The rental was not properly configured for "electronic" pickup. When the store set it for the correct type of pickup it somehow changed the rental period... The back of the truck was dirty and required significant cleaning... and even then I couldn't get all the muck out of the back of the truck... The truck cabin was filled with white dog hair... I did my best to wipe it up... still everywhere... Upon the return, the normal Uhaul return box was open and didn't work... had to shove the key through the door slot... though it wasn't marked that was where I should put it... felt unsafe and confusing. And the truck had a constant warning that the oil needed to be replaced... This is the second time I've rented a truck from this location and had issues with the quality of the rental. Deeply disappointed...

Had picked a location in Gearhart, OR. It was extremely inconvenient to go 20 miles to p/u the truck which was not available when i reserved it then to find truck wasn't the and had to go back two hours later to actually p/u the truck

When your reservation is confirmed in your town, only to find you have to drive 60 miles to pick it up and THEN you can't even return it in your town. So you drive another 65 miles to return it! NOT happy! Also it had a very terrible odor, akin to steer manure! Never again from that location.

The only issue we had here was we called in advance to verify drop off and were told they are open on memorial day weekend,"it is one of the busiest weekends of the year." We got here they weren't open. We didn't need to return for a few days so not a big deal but still not ideal.

Charge the customer what was agreed upon. I was promised accommodations of a free additional trailer rental, that did not happen and effectively added an additional $50 to my overall rental fee. great location great people but management is why I will never use uhaul again. price doesn't bother me but promises to a customer are meant to be kept.

I was told I could get the truck at 8:30 she didn’t. show till 9:15. Very dissatisfied had ordered truck at one location and had to go to another location. Won’t be using u haul again

The fact that this says Astoria just makes my point. Had reserved storage drop off in McMinnville. At no point was Astoria even mentioned. McMinnville was the original arranged drop off/storage location. Got there and was told they did not do the 1 month free storage despite that location being the one I was referred to over the phone. Was then told that I would have to drive 45 miles out of my way for a free storage and truck drop off in Sherwood but to call in morning to ensure they had the size storage I needed. Upon calling them I was informed that they also do not do the 1-month free storage. At this point, had had truck 2 extra days for no additional charge (per customer service). Was informed that Portland was the closest 1 month free capable facility. Informed them that I had already driven all over the world and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Ultimately, we unloaded the truck onto a tarp in the mud in the yard. Was then informed that they could no longer speak to me because the DRIVER was the contract contact of record and she would need to call. She did call. She was told that I would be refunded $50 for my trouble, to drop the truck off in SHERIDAN OR no later than 1 p.m. and that I would not be charged extra miles etc. When I got to Sheridan at 12:45 I was informed that I could not leave the truck there and needed to take it to McMinnville. I told them that I was not driving the truck anywhere else. Poor guy had to call his supervisor. I heard mention of being charged an extra day at that point. Considering that the last phone call with them had allegedly resolved all these issues because of their screw ups, I was extremely frustrated. Ultimately I was informed I could leave the truck there but....I would not be getting the $50 refund I was promised. It turns out that the 30 minutes the driver had spent on the phone with them was a huge waste of her time as well as they couldn't find "any record of that conversation in their system". I will NEVER use UHaul again. The fiasco with UHaul added 2 days onto what should have been a smooth and easy move 222 miles. I can't even describe the stress it caused and my possessions (which should have been in a safe dry storage) are on a tarp in the muddy yard.

I was irritated because the truck I reserved was not what I got. I reserved a 15 ft truck, but they sent it to another location the day before, so I had to take a bigger truck. Since I don't like driving the trucks, I wasn't happy because I felt the truck was too big for me. Plus, I probably spent more on gas than I otherwise would have.
