I placed my order online and paid for the rental. I completed an express check-in online to save time at the rental location because I was on a strict timetable. After arriving at the rental center, I entered the building and found myself number 6 in line. There were only two U-Haul employees working the counter. One was dealing with customers on the phone while the other handled people who were in line. After waiting 15 minutes, the one clerk walked outside with a customer. I asked him if I had to wait in this slow moving line even though I paid for my rental online and completed the express checkout. He told me that I still had to wait in line and I asked what was so express about the express procedure if I had to wait a long time in a line that wasn’t moving. He then said that the express is not really an express service. After waiting another 10 minutes in line, I then became 4th in line and there were 8 customers behind me and the line was to the entrance door. Another 15 minutes in line and I finally made it to the counter. The clerk told me that my rental time was from 9:30am to 3:30pm. I told him that it was after 10:00am and I spent over 30 minutes waiting in a line and I’m not paying for a start time of 9:30 when it was after 10. He then adjusted my pick up time after I complained about it. He then asked for my credit card and I informed him that I already paid online and I was told that my credit card was accepted. He told me that the online system was messed up and even though I entered a payment source, he needed it again. 15 minutes later and I was ready to leave the center with my rental. This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. My time is valuable and I felt that there should’ve been more clerks working than two on a Saturday morning. Because of this hurry up and wait, my schedule was severely impacted and I was not happy by the time I left the center.

The staff were great, and all the machinery worked perfectly fine. Definitely got me from point A to B without issue. My sole issue was, on a weekend, only one salesperson was working behind the counter, and it seems that you should have more people working on a weekend. My wait time for an appointment I had at 9 am. stretched until nearly 10, meaning I lost an hour I could've used on my 600+ mile trip. Nothing else really bothered me with U-Haul, though. Very satisfied otherwise, though.

Only issue was i stupidly left my Sunpass in the Cargo Van after dropping the van off after hours and putting the key in the lockbox. I emailed Uhaul about the issue and received an email stating the issue was noted on my account. The next morning i called Uhaul general number before hours (i had commitments at church from 8am to 1:30p that day) and was told i could come in to pick up the Sunpass. I arrived around 2pm after other commitments of mine were completed and saw the cargo van, with a new customer ready to drive off the lot with my Sunpass still attached. I stopped the customer, apologized and retrieved the Sunpass from the Van. I went inside and the rep stated they had no idea a Sunpass was left in the van. My lessons learned are: 1. double check the rental before locking myself out of the vehicle. 2. Call the actual site to advise them of the situation. Request: That the reps check for any flags/service reports on the account before re-renting a vehicle. Otherwise, i enjoyed the service, rental and staff.

My wife had called for a reservation a few days ahead, but when we got there, no reservation. Your team was very courteous and went out of their way to get us take care of, but could have gone bad if a truck had not been available as we drove an hour and 15 minutes to pickup from said location. All good though.

Recent experience: U-Haul Contract 90285314 I needed a larger vehicle to transport a purchase. I kept it for a few hours though I could have returned it after two hours. The rental staff were excellent! The return after hours experience was terrible. When I dropped off the vehicle at the same location and returned the keys, I was directed to submit a “verification code” which had been sent to my home computer. When making the online reservation, I inquired as to whether I could update my email address but was told he could not do that update. I was concerned that I had not completed the return process, so I attempted to do this online and received two verification codes but never got to complete the transaction. I called UHaul and was on hold for 10-15 minutes and was told that the staff at that service number 800-468-4285 could not assist me but would switch me to another department for ‘shared travel’ or something. After a 15-20 minute ‘on hold’ an agent got on the phone, listened to my story, and then ‘chuckled’ that if I returned the vehicle to the same location, then in the morning they would close out my ticket and send me an updated contract receipt. This was exactly what happened BUT, it would have saved me a fair amount of time and some anxiety if this had been made clear at drop off. I was not directed to take pictures or need a verification code, etc. for an after-hours drop off.

The two girls at the front desk had a whole lot of patience which comes in handy it looks like for that job. They were super friendly as well, and very efficient. I've rented U-Hauls at other locations and it does not compare I'm going to come back to this location whenever I need a truck.

I placed an order with issue at another location for that same day and they didn't have any tricks, and said they didn't carry the size truck we ordered, not did they have an order listed. I received an email notification that my order was confirmed and the order number I gave was 21918760. Because of this we had to rush to find a location and drive extra to pick up the truck.

I needed a smaller size furniture shrink wrap roll but you only stock larger ones. I don’t want to buy a large roll I won’t need for A small apartment. Boxes were a decent price.

I feel that U-Haul is missing an opportunity to upgrade its service by not making route recommendations or tailoring it’s trucks for the trip. For example, I moved 2,500 miles away and my truck was beat up and had 154,000 miles on it when I got it.....there were several occasions when I thought the truck would break down.
