Better operating vehicle. Contacting roadside assistance via the website is a nightmare. Finally called and spoke with Marsha who was very nice and thorough and followed up with us until the truck was returned to a different location per the serviceman who came from roadside assistance. I feel we should be compensated more than $15 for our trouble. We rent trucks weekly as we provide free food to the community. This was the most horrific experience we've had since starting this program. We have future reservations through December to continue this outreach and we pray we never have this experience again!

Online check-in was absolutely awful. Too many requests for documents and information that should have been asked for when initially placing the order a week prior instead of during check-in. (drivers license photos, alternate contact, etc).

The crew at this UHaul location are very friendly and quick to help. They functioned efficiently even with the Corona virus impairing normal operations. Will definitely return for my truck or trailer rental needs.
The only problem there was that when I went to pick up the equipment, no one was in the office and I had to go outside to get someone to help me after a 10 minute wait. Someone else would have probably taken something from the store.

Process to rent was not the best. Couldn't get an employee to answer the phone so I drove to the location just to find out there were no 10' rentals available. They signed me up for a call back if one became available at another location. No one called. I called after an hour.
My uhaul experience had to be the worst ever! I rented a uhaul with a transporter for my car from Orlando to drive to San Diego. When I left the facility I noticed there was a crack in the windshield and it happened to be going down I called and let them know that there was a crack in the windshield. On my way there I noticed that the alignment was completely off. But that wasn't the worst part, what happen next when I got to San Diego was what left me with a terrible taste in my mouth for U-Haul. As we approached San Diego there is it mountains that we have to go up to 4000 feet high. The truck was not accelerating on the way up the mountain it would go from 40 to 20 as I was pushing for it to go up it would slowly go down. I finally got it to accelerate a little bit, once we hit 3000 feet the truck then started making a weird sound. I heard it so I slow down a little bit. It was an up-and-down situation with the mountains so once we hit 4000 feet I had to drive it down the mountain from there, the speed picked up due to gravity but I trouble stopping the car and it would not stop the brakes literally gave out on me going down a mountain which scared the mess out of me. So the car started accelerating from 40 to 70 within 30 seconds I could not stop it I tried my best. I was so scared that my friend and I were going to die going down the mountain because the brakes literally gave out on us and the lights came on in the truck and said brake locks on. As were accelerating down the mountain I thought so just put both of my feet on the brakes so it could add more pressure which it came down to a very slow stop which was terrifying. We were able to approach the border patrol and informed them that the car brakes was not working and we are not able to drive up down and down the rest of the mountain. 9 PM I called U-Haul and ask for a tow and and they sent in an inspector to inspect the car he arrived an hour later just so he can get in the car and literally drive the car maybe 5 feet from where I had parked it and without check the brake, the fluid, brake pads anything in that nature he said that the brakes are okay and it's safe to drive and I told him no the light came on and it's not safe the brakes has stopped working on me he then called the company and told the representative that we were OK to drive which we were not. He unhooked my car from the U-Haul and told us that they should be sending a tow truck so there he lied we waited and there was no tow truck so I called again and I was informed that they would not send a tow truck because the car is â€œsafe to driveâ€ this was at 10:15 Pm. I ask to speak to a manager to inform them it is not safe to drive being that the brakes were not working going down the mountain and we had 51 more miles to go down this huge mountain. The manager informed me that she will not be sending a tow truck because the inspector told them that the brakes were safe. I asked her would she be willing to drive it if she was in my situation and she did not answer. she said she will send another inspector. I asked her is the other side inspector going to do the same job like the other one did and if so there is no point of sending another inspector just send a tow truck because this is unsafe to drive 51 more miles down a mountain. She informed me that she cannot send a tow truck and she would send an inspector which would take up to 2hrs to get there. I informed her that border patrol wanted us away from the area because it is unsafe. She told me that there was nothing that she could do about the time and there's nothing that she can do about the tow truck being that the car is â€œâ€œ safe to driveâ€. And that we should be â€œokayâ€ to drive the rest of the way. This after telling her everything that happened. The other inspector never showed up so I called again and this time my friend spoke to her and ask her the same question if she was in our situation in the brakes stopped working going down a 4000 feet mountain would she feel comfortable knowing that this man move the car not even 10 feet and said that the car was â€œsafe to driveâ€ without property checking it and driving it. I asked her if she is willing to have somebody come and attach their car to the transporter and I can drive down and will drive my car down to meet them she said no that is not how the inspections will go. I'm at the point where I am in tears with the idea of having to drive that truck down the mountain knowing that if the brakes stop we will both die and I informed her if I die going down the mountain it will be because of her. She then transferred me to a supervisor name Yani I told him what happened and he said he would send a tow truck to get the car this was around 10:35. I asked him how long would it take he said about an hour, I informed him that border patrol want us to leave the area ASAP! He said okay he will text me the time the tow truck would get there. I never received a text with the time. At 12:30 I called back for an update they said the person should be there an hour. I called back at 1:45am they said they are sorry but the person had to change cars last minute (nobody informed me about this) I called again at 2:15am they said he was on the way. The whole time my friend and I are cold, scared, annoyed, and worried that nobody is coming to help. Border patrol kept telling us to call uhaul for an update on the time nobody would give me an accurate answer. The tow truck did not show up until 2:47am so it literally took 5-6hours to send help all while I'm in shock, scared and in tears about the whole situation and the fact that my friend and I almost lost our lives and this lady did not want to send her but instead she wanted us to risk our lives going down a steep mountain that's (4000 ft elevation). I haven't slept in two days because of what happened I just keep thinking about how I almost lost my life and uhaul refused to send help. I spent $1500 just for one of your employees to basically tell my friend and I go kill yourself down the mountain we will not send help. This has been the worst terrifying experience in my entire life. I will never forget how she sounded so nonchalant when she said you can drive down the rest of the way after I told her the brakes were not working.

I rented a dolly with my truck, but when I got to the location they told me they had just rented out the last dolly. I mentioned that I saw one up front and I was told they had to keep one in case someone wanted to buy one. I was told I could have the $7 dolly rental taken off my bill or I could drive to Apopka to pick one up. I advised the young man that I would like the $7 charge taken off my bill. When I came back I was charged for the dolly. I even filled out a survey about the rental experience and explained all of this already. I still haven't contacted about the mistake or about receiving my money back.
Almost everything at this site, especially the staff, was great. The only area that needed attention was the dashboard cup holder areas and ashtray. I had to do a little cleaning up of small clumps of dirt and residue in order to put my items in their place. Not a big deal and really thought nothing of it .... Until I see a cleaning charge now from my return location!?!?!
There were no hand trucks available. Both myself and another customer were in need of a hand truck.
Need to let customer's know pre-paid cards are not accepted. The van was nice it was brand new but the inside windshield was dirty and it didn't look like it had been cleaned after whom ever drove it. Employees were ready to help and the return of the van was quick over all was great.....if they would have said they don't accept pre paid cards at the beginning ...

I made an appointment and when I got to the store they gave me a sorry excuse how the reservation system was "broken" and my reservation couldn't be honored. Customer service is horrible! I wish there was other competition out there so I didnt have to use Uhaul services agan ever.
The female general manager was very efficient, friendly and knowledgable.
