Signs for where to drop off trailers. I left it in a parking lot next to others but wasn't sure if that was correct. Was also on a slight hill and nothing to keep the trailer from rolling

Issue 1 when your quote times out it doesn’t save your existing setting and may get you a 10foot truck instead of the cargo van you needed. Staff did their best to find me a cargo van nearby, I had been dropped off, so that wasn’t an option. Issue 2: this vehicle was OLD, had a tear in the Drivers seat, a giant paint chip on the front, among a bunch of other blemishes it was generally worn out. It smelled like cats, which I’m allergic to, and the ac/ heater has a strange smell.

A preinspecton before pulling out would be great. When I returned the equipment, I was informed that the brake light had been out. The tow dolly was missing an s-clip. I was also double charged and it has been addressed but not yet corrected. I was also sent to several locations before I was able to get what I had reserved a week in advance.

I booked a 20 feet truck 1 week in advance from other location and they transferred me to this location for pickup in after hours as they didn't get the truck on time and when I reach the new location they don't have updated reservation or 20 feet truck available. So after spending 1 hr with customer care in rain collected 15 feet truck and ended up paying extra bucks for moving services because of multiple trips resulted by small truck. They need to improve their communication and update in front if the trucks are not available means.

Our home closing was postponed thus we didn’t end up using the truck after renting it for 4 days. The staff at U-haul, upon hearing this, only charged us for 1 day rather than the 4 as we had only put 6 miles on the truck (picking it up and then returning). We were so touched by their suggestion that we only pay for 1 day! That’s true customer service!!!

The truck was old and the back door required a little extra effort to close. I had to adjust the side mirror because it was folded in when I got the keys. The truck I got didn't have odometer and gas readings that matched the print out I received when getting the truck. The rain was pouring so I realized the error shortly after I left. I took a picture to discuss the errors with the staff after I got back with the truck. The staff blamed me for not checking the truck before leaving and charged me anyway for the miles I didn't use. The upsetting part was she tried to insult me over $4 when it was the principle that mattered. I hear Home Depot has great around town rates so I'll be using them or another company next time.

First, the truck was not at the location it was supposed to be. We got no notification of that - seriously?? The original location couldn't even look up my record online. After a systems problem the prior day, they could see my record but not access it. They had to call an 800 number to find out where I could go. I then got sent to this location. After waiting for about a half hour, I got to the counter. Much to my dismay, the credit card machine froze, and then the whole workstation. The guy who started my transaction did not know what to do. I suggested using the other workstation there at the counter. He then went to find the woman so he could get into that one. To make a long story shorter, I finally got the truck. Left and was waiting at a light when I realized we did not check to make sure they put in the blankets and furniture mover. in the truck. Pulled over and sure enough, truck was empty. Had to go back and get those. Little sense of urgency from employees, although given how many systems problems they were having, not a surprise. In addition, others were waiting for HOURS to pick up their truck. I work in IT. You seriously need to improve your systems and your processes. I have not had customer service this bad in a long time. If you had asked in this survey whether I would ever rent from UHaul again, you would get a 1 out of 5 - only if I absolutely have to. It's the company rather than locations that are a problem. By the way, this overall process took at least 2 hours. Given we were in the middle of packing my mother's house, that was 4 man hours we lost. I consider UHaul as a company completely inconsiderate. Again, I don't hold the location at fault, it's the software you're using - just awful - as well as processes you support that inconvenience the customer. And there's no follow up or apology for that inconvenience. And, STOP assigning trucks to different pick up locations, particularly without telling the customer!!!!!!!

Employees were very pleasant; however, it seems I had to follow-up many times to ensure what I needed was getting done. The truck I needed was not going to be at their location on the day I reserved. Someone called me from dispatch and notified me of this. I had to go back to the location yet another time and have them pick up my truck from another location to be at the one I needed. On a different note: calls to the 800 # they gave me were not answered or I had to wait on hold for over a half hour.
