This could have been disastrous for us both if it wasn't caught b/c I would have had access to their belongings & they would have had access to my credit card. Lusma M | Overall ExperienceWhile the staff and facilities here are great, I have misgivings about suggesting a rental vehicle from this location. Today, I was rented a truck for a one way 400 mile trip that had a retread tire affixed in a steering position. This tire failed at freeway speed on the 99S fwy halfway into my trip nearly costing me my life. I would have said that I trusted uHaul equipment but that is no longer true. If there is someone on staff that makes decisions like these, please ask them if they would have put their loved one into such a situation. I'm sad because I've always trusted uHaul and furious that I almost lost my life moving someone else's stuff. Waiting on a narrow shoulder for help that came quickly was nerve wracking as there was very little room to stop. I was grateful they came and serviced the damage within 90 minutes. It was hot and I was severely dehydrated. Lastly, uHaul asked me to tow a car tow which we considered but am glad we said no..The day would have been Much worse.
