Cómo funcionan los comentarios de U-HaulThe check in after making a reservation earlier that week was disappointing. I honestly thought ai was getting punked at one point. I had called and booked a truck and storage unit, provided all of my information and contact numbers and confirmed the location. This is not my first time renting a truck and storage unit. We arrived and I checked in and the person at the register really struggled and I am unsure if it was a new employee or if there was a step missing I should have known about. I told her I had a reservation for a truck rental and storage unit. And that I had been told the first month is free when you rent a truck to move in. She proceeded to ask me what storage unit number I was and I told her I have no idea she’d have to tell me as I did not receive an email with the unit number. She got the truck key ready and when it was time to pay, I asked about how much notice we need to provide when we are done with the unit. Then we basically had to start over again. She said there was no way that she would’ve ever known that I needed a storage unit. I told her that I had pre-booked it and it should’ve been on the reservation and she said there’s no way for her to see that and that i had to tell her. It was so weird. My co worker was just as baffled. We walked away shaking our heads like….what just happened?

KARSHALONA G | Experiencia generalClearly, some homeless people rent a few units in the climate controlled area. Saw them every time I came in sitting outside their storage unit. In some cases they were using the carts that I would’ve used to load boxes back-and-forth from my unit to the car. It was a bit concerning though they didn’t bother me. I wouldn’t send my wife there on her own because she’d be uncomfortable with that situation.
Jeffrey B | Experiencia general⭐ One Star My experience at this U-Haul storage facility on East Colonial Drive was extremely uncomfortable. When I entered the facility, I was told that I could only access my storage unit for about 15 minutes a day. I was shocked because I rented and paid for a storage unit with the expectation that I would have reasonable access to my own belongings during the facility's permitted access hours. What made the experience worse was feeling like I was constantly being watched and policed whenever I entered the facility. Instead of being able to handle my belongings normally, I felt rushed and monitored every time I went to my unit. If there are unusual restrictions such as a 15-minute daily access limit, customers should be clearly informed of that before renting and paying for a unit. Had I known I would be treated this way and have such limited access to my belongings, I would not have rented here. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this location.

Anita and the gentleman I always jokingly called “Taco Tuesday” were both incredibly kind, professional, and helpful during my time here. They treated people with respect, kept things running smoothly, and made a difficult season a little easier to handle. Good customer service is rare, but they genuinely stood out. Thank you both for your patience, your help, and the positive energy you brought every day.
