What's the difference between this model and the 14493?

–Manny 4/13/2015 1:29:35 PM

The 14493 is a U-Haul exclusive 4-flat trailer light power module with unlimited shortproof protection. this unit comes equipped with an integrated green LED light bar and an integrated weatherproof terminal cap. The 8 amps per circuit capacity allows up to 3 bulbs per circuit with virtually no draw on the vehicles taillights eliminating the need for a heavy duty flasher. The 14493 is a splice option install that fits nearly all vehicles with a 12-volt negative-ground system.

The CQT118515 4-flat vehicle specific T-One connector with upgraded circuit protected modulite HD module requires no splicing of vehicle wires. Simply locate your vehicles wiring harness connector, unplug the connection and insert the T-One harness. This unit has a 4.2 amp stop/ turn circuit capacity and a 7.5 amp running/ taillight capacity.

Both units provide a 12 gauge wire, in line fuse and fuse holder that is connected to the vehicles battery, powering the trailer taillights.
