what do I need to do to hook up a 7 pin I will be pulling a boat with surge brakes only need to hook up reverse wire to release surge brakes for backing up trailer I have a 2013 jeep unlimited 4x4

Joe, our hitch pro writes "There are a few methods of installing a 7-way to your 2013 Jeep Unlimited, one option is to use the U-Haul plug and play parts CQT118416 (this part) & 47185. This install will require extending the purple wire from the pre-wired 7-way to the vehicles taillight then spicing into the vehicles reverse light wire.

Another option is to bypass the quick connect part CQT118416 and only use the pre-wired 7-way part 47185. This install method requires extending the yellow, green, brown and purple from the pre-wired 7-way to the vehicle taillights and splicing."

Thank you!
