no 2 of the pins that hold it together did not work. The little roll balls did not move in the pin. the front of the gate was bent when we opened the box.

Hi Mary! Any cargo carrier you select is going to be limited due to the carrying capacity of your vehicle. You will also want to make sure you have the clearance at the back of your Model Y when you want to attach any accessories like a cargo carrier or bike rack. From the hitches we offer for your Model Y the clearance distance is about 6-1/2 inches so as long as you choose a hitch mounted accessory with more than 6-1/2 inches clearance you should be good to go.

When it is packed and on the road, does it bounce due to the folding joint, or does it ride stiff and solid? My other foldable hitch needed straps to door hinges to stay solid.
