Made well and in USA by Five Star Manufacturing, Inc. and arrived ahead of schedule. Perfect for extra hauling capacity and light enough to maneuver without help. Added fold up adapter to keep it out of the way.

Excellent cargo tray. Once piece welded, very sturdy thick aluminum. Be aware outside dimensions are 60" x 24" so actual inside dimensions are a little less. Fine for cargo bags but I was planning on putting a aluminum tool chest that wouldn't fit. For the price beats the cheap 2 piece steel trays you see everywhere. No bolts to check on and re-tighten (except for 2 that secure the hitch bar) No rust ever. Made in USA too.

How do you strap things on the aluminum cargo carrier.

–Linda 11/29/2013 10:17:13 AM

Quite honestly it would depend on what your cargo is. Depending on what you wish to strap down, you can choose the appropriate straps / ratchet from those available in our rope and tie down section. http://www.uhaul.com/MovingSupplies/Rope-tie-downs/

–Ronald 12/2/2013 11:10:34 AM

Are there tie down points anywhere on the carrier, such as the 3" sides?

–Bruce 5/22/2014 7:33:42 PM

Our buyer checked with the vendor and forwarded the following: "We do not put any tie down holes in the carrier but most folks uses the spacing under the carrier through the expanded mash to tie down. They can put the holes where they want them if they want to."

–Ronald 5/23/2014 9:22:56 AM

How much does the carrier weigh?

–Paul 8/23/2014 6:12:13 PM

Our vendor for this products notes 33 pounds.

–Ronald 8/25/2014 8:46:38 AM

is there a receiver on carrier to add bike rack to the tray?

–Barbara 10/25/2014 1:26:46 PM

No. Sorry. There is not.

Is this item for rent or for purchase?

–Steve 2/5/2018 8:35:51 AM

Hi, Steve! This product is for purchase only. It is not available to rent. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 2/6/2018 8:56:49 AM

Can I use this on a Class 1 (200 lb) hitch if I do not exceed 100 pounds in weight on it?

–Fasia 6/7/2018 8:58:30 AM

Hello, Fasia! No, this carrier would not fit a 1-1/4" receiver. Please consider the Curt Angled Shank Cargo Carrier, which is designed for use with your hitch class. Thank you!

–Savannah 7/16/2018 7:04:53 AM

I would like to know if one can haul a motorcycle on these. In other words, I have an SUV and wonder if there would be a clearance problem. I have the shorter extension on my hitch. Can you tell me the distance from the ball to the farthest point on the platform? Thanks for your help.

–Matt Higgins 9/18/2018 9:20:19 PM

Hello, Matt! No, we do not recommend using a cargo carrier to carry a motorcycle. Please consider renting a U-Haul motorcycle trailer for carrying a motorcycle. Thank you!
