Still have not received my final bill. Checked out truck for 6 hours... at checkout, was not informed of after-hours check in procedures. As informed via after-hours phone call... Already had dropped key in box before taking picture of fuel gauge... was informed to leave invoice in drop box and will receive email in morning. As I mentioned above, I called U haul yesterday evening, was told to drop keys off and checkout online (I proceeded to drop off keys then go online -- didn't have key for Fuel picture!). I called U haul today in the afternoon (was told everything was ok). But still I have not received final bill. Truck was wonderful... first time rental return was confusing. I would recommend, but tell my friends what to expect and the proper return procedure... take fuel picture before returning key (plus mileage).

There three staffs was working when I was going through paper work to pick up reserved unit. I was the only custumer, and two staffs was helping the one at the front desk to understand which unit was reverved. Anyway, to make long story short, when I was returning next day to Palmdale subcontractor, I found out that there was dent on the right side, which I have nothing to do with the damage. I rented a unit with damage. When I called the Whittier about the dent, they said it is the responsibility of customers to check the exterior condition before leaving. That's ridiculous nonsense. Employees at Whittier do not have any idea what's the customer service is all about. 1. If it is custumer's responsibility, customer should be informed to do so. None of the three employees at the time did not informed me of that. When I called from the dropping point in Palmdale, Ricky told me his employees did informed me to check. 2.Whittier should have walked around the truck with me. It would not take more than one minute. 3. It is the proper thing to hand over the key. Whittier just left the key on the seat So what happened? I got invoice for repair bill of $129. It's probably charged to my credit card even before I had any chance to plead. I will never rent from U-Haul. I will tell what happened to friend. U-Haul is not loosing only one angry customer. One angry customer takes away 10 future costumer from the business. I learned a good lesson at $129. Worth it!

I reserved an enclosed 6x12 trailer weeks ago. I was told it would be there. It wasn't. They had rented their only 6x12 trailer to somebody else. They thought it was supposed to be returned on time. It was not. U-Haul did the same thing to me 4 days earlier when I had another 6x12 reserved in Whittier. Just before I was to pick it up, they sent a message that the trailer was no longer available and for me to go to La Habra to pick one up. I went there two days before I needed it to be sure it was there. It was. They assured me there would be no problem. On the day I was to pick it up, I got a message that it had been rented to somebody else. So corporate located one down in Orange County...and reserved THAT one for me. That is BS. Why do you treat your customers that way?

Cory did not put in the correct mileage to the truck that I rented. He didn't even put in the extra mileage I was promised by corporate, yet he verbally confirmed that he did. He did not follow proper protocol by failing to go over the mileage, gas, damage rules with me. It was only when I had asked about damages that he said not to worry about anything since there are no x's on the truck. The fact that he put in the wrong starting mileage was very shady and very off putting. I Filed a report already to corporate. Don't go to this location ever. Cory will take advantage of you if you are a new customer.
