there were numerous scratches and dents on the truck we rented and when we went to return it the uhual rep let us know they should have been marked beforehand with a sticker. they weren't and we didn't dent or scratch it. other than that, no complaints.

Don’t change a reservation on the day of I was going to pickup a truck 2km from the house I was moving from to one that was 23km away Kilometres don’t go over but we’re close Did cost more in gas though to replace the gas used

The only thing that went well was me doing the pre-check in online , The first trailer I hooked up to took about 15 minutes then the lights didn't work another 15 minutes to hook up another trailer the lady doing the work should not have been doing this work .she came within a quarter inch of breaking her toe when she remove the first trailer wearing sandals after that I attacked the next trailer and she was rude

Scary assed place with no uhaul markers anywhere to indicate where you are supposed to go. Graffiti on the walls everywhere. Once again just AWFUL.

Would be nice if equipment was clean, if employees knew how to find rough prices, if the office was clean of the 2 small smoke packs and 6-7 half drank drinks all over the desk. If when employees left they locked up there filing cabinets and locked the computer with your personal information. ( we where left alone for over 10 mins with access to 100 of people credit and personal Info. If a rep would help you connect your equipment and ensure it's all working right. Piss poor service and disregard for clients personal information.

Your advertising says $19.95 a day plus km. I rented a van for 3 days plus insurance of $15 which meant to me approximately $75 plus I’m! WRONG IT MEANT $147.00 I WAS NOT IMPRESSED

So we arrive at the address on our receipt to find out it's been recently closed. Called various numbers on a Sunday. They confirm it was recently closed down and we have to back out and go to another site in Whitby but they said was open until 3:00pm. Got there by 3:00 to find it closed at 2:00pm. More phone calls to your company and we agree to park the 20 foot truck there and slide keys under the door of a very sketchy office, where one side was a collection agency and the other was corrections Canada. We felt very unsafe to be honest. This is not the kind of place we'd ever willing enter. This office space must be cheep for you, but it's unwelcome to families who are just trying to move their children from their University House back to home. I should mention the Truck was licensed to Arizona, had US Miles an hour speedometer and handled atrociously.. like seriously shouldn't be on the road.

We tried to return unused boxes and the CS agent would not take them back as I did not have a receipt. This is ridiculous as they clearly showed the UHAUL brand. We were also messed around with the location of pick up on the truck we have to drive way out to get a truck that was too small for our move. The CS at the Taunton location was rude and nasty for being 7 am.

My pickup location and vehicle was changed. Secondly, the location made an error on my pick up time and that cost me valuable time and money. Real shame.

I attempted to use the system set up for after hours pick up but they had forgotten to put the keys in the correct box, I got the keys an hour after the arranged pick up time after calling the after hours number and he sent someone out. They then didn’t have keys for the van I was supposed to get so they gave me keys for one that reeked of garbage.

The lock box in which to leave the keys was broken, which means we had to come back again the next day. I'm sure you understand that in the middle of moving, struggling with a lock box late at night and then having to come back the next day is frustrating. The fact that there was rust on the box and it has obviously been broken for a while and we weren't warned is doubly frustrating. That the woman to whom we spoke when we dropped off the keys didn't really seem to care about our frustration, was really disappointing. Definitely wouldn't use this location again.

I had hard time returning the key because on the website it says the key should be return into the "key return orange box" and the box was broken. I tried calling the location's number and off course no one picked up the phone because it was after "office hours". So I thought maybe there is another "key return box" somewhere that is working and only to find that there was nothing after walking around the whole building. When I looked up on top of the "key return box" I saw a sign that says "there is camera surveillance", so in my head I thought everything is under control and I left the key in the broken box. Next morning a lady called me and asking me where did I put her keys. I told her in the "orange key return box" and she started yelling at me telling me that I should have put her keys in the black box where I took the key from. First of all this booking was 100% phone reservation and I was following 100% of the instructions provided by the website. How was I going to know that I have to put back keys in a black box when no one has told me that. I did not like her attitude, she pretty much bullied me over the phone for no reason.

We got there after hours and there was no lock box or a place to drop the keys which was confusing. How ever l did phone the store number and an employee did show up to help us but again that was strange to us .

My pickup appointment was for any time after 9:15. I arrived at 10:30 and the person told me that there was no trailer for me. I asked why and explained that this was a week long rental for business purposes, which was why it was booked ahead of time. The story changed and I was told that the trailer was there but that the lights don't work. An assistant whispered something in the lady's ear and she said that maybe we could try the trailer on my vehicle and see if the problem was with the returning renter's vehicle. We hooked up to my truck and they worked fine. I asked why they hadn't called ahead of time. The lady told me that they only just found out at Midnight the night before "did you want me to call you at midnight?" Given that the trailer was wedged in between two car dollies, behind two dumpsters, in the furthest corner of the lot, with no lighting and in a high crime area, I seriously doubt this lady was mucking about in the dark. I call lies. The last thing I said when I left, was that I would be returning the trailer after 5 pm on Thursday. The ladies both said no problem and told me where to park the trailer. On thursday at 3, the lady called me and asked what time I intended to drop off. I reminder her that I had told her that it would be after 5. Her answer was "OH". I have become a regular U-Haul customer, but this was my first time using this location. It was an absolutely unacceptable display of poor customer service.

Truck looked as if it was half full when i picked it up, but 3 minutes down the road, it went almost down to a quarter. I had to put in $25 worth of gas to get it to the middle mark, when my total driven distance was 30.4 miles.

I had no trouble renting the truck, I over estimated the distance, and when I returned the truck ( on Sunday) no one was there to confirm the total mileage. When I called the office, the lady was very confused, and couldn't (wouldn't) tell me if there was going to be a rebate on my credit card.

When I initially booked on line I selected a location close to me to pick up and drop off but I had to go to the west end to pick up my truck. Not sure why, but because I’m being charged for mileage I wanted some place closer to me. The lady that greeted me and set me up was very pleasant. Thank you

I will never use North Oshawa location ever again....but I would like to thank them for introducing me to the Whitby store. I would give North store a 1 star....you lost a customer
