I was charged $110.64 at the Walnut Creek drop off. I disputed this charge. U Haul has major problems, let me explain. I signed an agreement on Tuesday, May 16th at the San Jose location. I was told that as long as I returned the vehicle by 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 17th I would not be charged a second day fee. Additionally, if the vehicle was refueled to the same gas level after turning the vehicle in at the Walnut Creek location there would not be a gas charge. On Wednesday morning, May 17th, after cleaning the inside of the storage area, I returned the vehicle to the Walnut Creek drop off location at 11:00am. I was told that I would be getting an email and invoice if there were any charges after inspecting the vehicle. To my surprise, I was notified that I was being charged $110.64 on my American Express Card. I went to the Walnut Creek location on Thursday, May 18th to inquire about the additional charge. Christina, the customer assistance representative, communicated that she would contact her boss to investigate the charges. I had to visit the WC location three times because no one, other than Christina, was assisting me with my dispute. I watched Christina communicate with a U Haul customer assistant and was amazed that they truly did not care nor where willing to provide Christina assistance with this dispute. Christina did everything she could to help me, your in-house representative did nothing to help with this situation. This was the thrid call Christina made to help me. I apologize for being frustrated with Christina, I now realize that she was the only person that truly cared about my situation. All said and done, Christina call me and inform me that the $110.64 was going to be refunded to my AE card. I discovered that my vehicle was checked in at 7:11pm which trigger and additional day of fees. Christina was awesome! U Haul needs to provide additional training and development in creating a customer-oriented company moving forward. I will probably never do business again with U Haul and, as a financial consultant, will share this story with my clients over the coming months/year. I am pretty pissed off at how I was treated by you company.

I took care of the truck. even paid extra for insurance. Returned the truck exactly as I got it and was charged a cleaning fee. Typical company looking to milk every customer.

Prior to finding the Postal Annes in Walnut Creek I"d had nothing but miserable experiences with uhaul, every time, 100%, without fail. Totally checked out employees, always had to fight to get the van I reserved because they rented it to someone else, human feces literally surrounding the van at the Concord location, waiting 30 min to get the ride- i could go on but id rather say THANK YOU (again, i've given them a great review before) to every employee at the Walnut Creek Uhaul Postal Annex. Fast, efficient, communicative, and friendly. Much appreciated.
