The equipment was old and hardly looked like a U-Haul piece of equipment. After attaching it to my car and pulling away, every bump in the road made the unit bang around as though it was going to fall apart. While only a 4X8 Cargo trailer - all equipment should be in good order. Ryder equipment always looks brand new.

I really liked the process of checking in and out the vehicle myself. However when I returned it, the girl at the counter said I just had to put the keys in the orange drop box. However the app asked me to take a pic of mileage and gas gage. I had already dropped the key, and left by the time I knew that. I do not think it caused any penalties or anything, however I just wish I had known to be sure I did it all right.

I made a reservation for a 20' truck to pick up on Thursday Dec 7th. I was packed and ready to move for my job and the truck was not available, and there wasnt one in the area, which caused a great deal of INCONVENIENCE AND LATENESS for my family, and job. I was forced to use a trailer and 15'truck which was a pain to drive and to pack

Originally we were supposed to have a one way rental. Two days before the move we were told we couldn't have a one way rental we had to return the truck from where we got it. We were given a lower rental rate to supposedly make up for that but that sill made the cost $40 more than what we were confirmed. When I went to pick up the truck, instead of lowering the rate, someone had added on to my rate and charged me more that I had to catch the mistake when I was going to sign the bill. When I got into the truck the fuel gauge was not where it was supposed to be as it said on the contract and when I went back inside to have the woman I worked with change the contract she just blew me off and said it was fine to bring it back where I thought it should be with no guarantee or evidence that she was actually going to change the contract so I still don't know if I am going to have to fight that. The truck we were given was in terrible working condition and couldn't go more than 55 mph on the highway. On hills it would sputter and jump and couldn't easily make it up steep hills. Overall this was not a favorable experience.

I live in Rochester Ny and reserved to pickup a tow dolly in Syracuse Ny as I was buying a car in the area. I made this reservation on the 22nd. I went to the U-Haul on Canal St in Syracuse and the tow dolly was not available, they had a trailer auto transport available but the strap was broken. They didn’t have straps available to fix it, I suggested they hook me up with the auto transport and I’ll drive to another U-Haul in the area to get a new strap installed. The other U-Haul in north Syracuse on Taft Ave installed the strap. Then I was on my way finally to pick up the vehicle. I was dealing with the inconvenience of U-Haul for 3 1/2 hours. This was by far the worst experience I have had with U-Haul (oh and my wife was super ticked because I ended up being late for dinner with her dad for a belated thanksgiving dinner ... so thanks for that too)

The vehicle was below full I was asked by cashier to make Sure the vehicle was on full I brought to the attention by way of pitcher on my phone,( this isent the first time I received a vehicle low of gas), the cashier made the incident trivial,and I had to find the vehicle on my own by useing the key in every door I could find. Of course the key worked on the very last vehicle. Upon leaving vehicle I waited what felt a long time, and then I proceeded into the building to turne in the key, and then waited to what felt like a long time to cash out. It’s opinion the some people didn’t want to be there at work.

Did not like calling the local number and ALWAYS (as in over 10 times) getting transferred to the answering service. I had specific questions I needed to ask of my LOCAL dealer. They would not pick up the phone so the answering service clicked in.
