Customer service was more rushed than friendly during the check out process. Checking back in, that evening staff was much friendlier and personable. My Utility Dolly was not in the UHAUL when I picked it up. I had to make a trip all the way back to my location of pick up (which was changed the day before my move) just to pick up the dolly. Overall, sub-par experience.

Last Friday, I called the Hickory Rd location to reserve a truck. I was told it was reserved and that I should pick it up by 12:30PM on Sunday. When I arrived on Sunday, there was no record of my reservation and the staff was less than helpful in finding a solution. I called the Western Ave store and they said they were out of trucks but that I could get a van for the same rate. I reserved with them, picked up the van, got my work done and returned the van. They were responsive to all of my questions and 100% better at customer service than the other location. I am so glad that I contacted them!

Kim and Chris helped me out when I got the truck and they also processed the return. I’ve use uhaul several times and I’m blown away by how great this experience was. The fastest so far with the nicest service and no issues arose. The truck was perfect. My one complaint is that I originally tried to use the truck share feature at a different location , but got a call back from a rep saying that I’d need to choose a different branch. She found it for me and got everything taken care of, but it was 5 miles out of my way to my storage unit instead of being directly on the way to it. At $.99 a mile, that added at least $10 to my bill. (15’ truck so nothing that shouldn’t be stocked everywhere) But again, this location was fantastic.

-Manager did not give us a printed contract. -Manager parked truck northbound in southbound lane, did not take time to help adjust passenger side mirror, which was only showing the side of the truck, and not usable to pull out into traffic, It took me about 10 minutes, and many times getting into and out of truck to get mirror adjusted;

Your mobile check in, and the people running it, are inept. Saying my identification looked fake, based off of me having lost weight, is ridiculous and shows very poor training, and people skills. It made the check in process last an hour. That makes no sense. Being tild to resubmit selfies and pictures of my id, several times, plus, saying to the physical location I don't look like me....they were as confuded as i was. Maybe teach your mobile staff how to identify fake ids. That is a start. Then, teach them how to speak to people.

Get honest about cost information. Employees gave false information, then denied the lies. Subsequently they not only denied the commitments made, and refused to offer up any solution to their deceptive lies.

Only real problem I see with the location I picked up and dropped off at was it's a fairly small lot and can get congested easily and being right on the corner of an intersection makes it a little tricky getting out of the lot with a trailer.

Give them a better understanding of what insurance covers. I wouldn't have purchased the insurance I did, so I spent an extra $15 I didn't want or need to spend. Other than that, pretty good experience.

Please have more than 1 person working on a Saturday morning. Waited 40 minutes as there was only one employee (who was the best) dealing with many customers, running outside, getting the trucks ready and doing all the paperwork. Get some help for him!

You people need to get a better system. Check-in is terribly slow. Everyone in line was frustrated. The checkout was slow as well. It would help to hire at least one other employee who would work outside in the lot reducing the time the counter person has to go in and out. At any rate , you need to experiment with alternative methods. We were unhappy with the service.

ill start buy saying i was going out of state to pick up a car, i called the uhaul in Minneapolis Minnesota and the guy I talked to was extremity rude, i explained to him that i called before i left of my trip and i was told that the trailer was $78 a day with $20 insurance, at that point i didnt reserve the trailer because i was unsure of when i would pick it up. He told me that it was going to be $550 and i HAVE to have the trailer for 5 days, i only needed the trailer for 2, i explained to him that i called and checked before i left and he called me a liar! After getting off the phone with him i called a uhaul in Indiana and gave me a price for the same trailer which was $230. Im unsure if id ever use uhaul for a big trip if any again
