I believe that the following should occur to improve service to customers: 1. All efforts should be made to honor reservations and seriously consider the customer’s hardship of being notified at time of pickup that reserved trucks are not available. 2. If there is an error made by U-Haul staff and/or scheduling, there should be a “B” plan to make sure the customer makes it to their destinations or credit some of their debt occurred due to errors. 3. Train staff and offer resources that will enable them to make proper decisions that will help and not hinder customer’s move. Moving is stressful enough in itself. 4. Provide customer service that will allow customers to speak directly to a “person” in emergencies. 5. Train and/or provide leadership that understands you are more successful in a business when you care about your customers and have staff that care as well. 6. Teach upper management why it is important to extend yourself to others, go beyond “just enough”, offer a smile or encouraging word, help them by being a part of the solution and not the problem. 7. Ordered a 26 truck on or around june 15th for July 1st pick up at 9am. Upon arrival to pick up pre ordered equipment there were no units available. Closets available unit was 2 hours away in Longview texas.

Made an online reservation, but got the runaround when I showed up to pick up 5x8 trailer. Told me I had to go to location down the street. They did not have my reservation & no 5x8 trailer. Went back to original guy at 1st location. He had a 5x8 trailer but was reserved for a local move. He was nice enough to find me a one way rental across town. The ratings are for this pickup location. He forgot my furniture pads.

The only problem I had was the attendant told me that I could pick it up on Sunday morning at 7:30 but they didn't open until 9 also the size trailer that I reserved to pick up from that location was not there so i had to go to a larger size

I did notice a smell of cigarette smoke but understand that would be almost impossible to remove if a renter smoked in it. The overall condition of the truck was very clean. The office staff was fantastic I will absolutely use them again if the need arises.

the person that I spoke to when I called the 800 was nice but very inadequate in her job. So when arriving at the location to pick up the tow dolly every thing had to be redone in the computer. So we were late in leaving and getting to the location much later. Could not get in touch with the local store when I tried to call them. Very bad exoerience.
