This was not my primary pick up location for my trailer. Only a 15-20 minute drive. Last time a 5 hour R/T. I had UHAUL confirmation # which means absolutely nothing. They call you 2 days in advance just to let you know your trailer won't be available. Make sure your CUSTOMER gets what they want when they want it!

Make sure what is reserved online is available at the location you choose and not 6miles away in the other side of town, AND therefore only spend $70 like you’d planned as opposed to $280.....

MLK Uhaul was very positive, and it made up for a day that, up until going to MLK, was about as negative as possible of a Uhaul experience. I want to reiterate that the Rainier Uhaul was not a positive experience. It was completely understaffed, and there were two staff not doing enough. An older white woman was doing pretty much nothing, wandering around the store, while a younger black man was working all 3 computers trying to get everyone checked in. This was all to find out that my rental wasn't at this location, even though I specific in my rental that this was where I wanted to pick up. I also want to state that I called to reserve the original Uhaul, and I asked for the Rainier location. I showed up to the rainier location, waited for 2 hours, just to find out my reservation was at another location. Either the person on the phone misheard me when I gave her the address, or it got changed without letting me know. Either way, double-checking the input address with the person making the reservation would be really nice. The MLK location was fantastic, and I had great customer service.

The truck did not run well above 50 mph. Both loaded and with no load the truck lunged and jerked drastically. I'm a loyal customer and should be refunded for this rental.

Phone app is difficult and time consuming. I got there at 8:30. The staff said they didn’t open until 9:00 and suggested I use the phone app. It took me about 20 minutes to figure it out. I finally opened the storage compartment to look for the key and it wasn’t there. By then it was 9:00 and I asked for help. It turned out the key was inside the store. When I returned the truck the check in was efficient and quick.

I tried to rent a 6x12 trailer in North Seattle. They said it is not possible. I was able to rent in Ballard, but only at 10 or 10:30 am, even thou I needed it at 3 pm. 30 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the trailer, I got a text saying that the new location is changed, to one that is 20 miles away from where I live, and also the hour was changed. When I went to rent it at 3pm, at the new location, I asked if I could bring back the trailer at a different location, and they said that I could, but it was going to cost more. I said that I need to bring it back at a different location not because of me, but because of U-Haul that changed my location and time without asking me. And they still denied me. I missed church Sunday because I thought I am going to pick up the trailer at 10, and I had to drive a v8 for 60 miles extra, lost 2 extra hours of my time, because U-Haul changed my time and location without asking me. Also, the staff was very slow inside. The trailer was in good conditions and worked great.

When I booked online I declined the $10 insurance, in the store the assistant didn't ask about it and added it to the charge, I brought this up when I saw it got added and asked him to remove it. He made a note of it. Again it has been added to my bill even though I declined it both online and in-store.

My experience at both my eventual pickup and drop off locations was excellent. I cannot say the same for the UHaul scheduling experience which was diabolical. My pickup was moved from Sammamish to Bellevue to Seattle (which is over 20 miles from home). The drop off was also moved from Sammamish to Redmond.
