Stop confirming for a specific location online if the customers selection is not available there. It is only in your interest to change pickup location leaving the customer to pay extra miles/gas just to pick up and return.

Representative at the North Trail office Save the Day. I originally had a reservation for a 6 by 12 at the South Tamiami Trail location. They failed to keep my reservation and never bothered to call to tell me they did not have a 6 by 12 I was ready to leave town to take my daughter to college I had 20 minutes to scramble and thank God for North Trail location complete customer service difference. The representative at the South Trail didn't even offer to call around to find me a trailer. As a matter of fact he said I should have checked on the reservation why the hell would I make a reservation if I had to check on it. I can't eat my hat goes off to the representative of the North Trail he Save the Day and totally turned a horrible experience into a good one

Easy drop off, however, this was the second location I had to visit some 7 miles from the intended drop off location on Fruitville, as Fruitville refused to accept my drop off saying they did not have room. U-haul corporate executives need to start reading these reviews and resolve these unacceptable issues the customer must deal with because tour system is broke.

Was supposed to drop the truck off at Compass Self Storage, 8424, Florida St.. I called to make sure they were going to be open and the guy asked me what I was returning., When I told him a 26' truck he told me not to bring it to him he couldn't handle it. I told him His address was the one listed on my contract and he said it didn't matter, he couldn't take the truck and I needed to take it to the U-haul center at 7850 N. Tamiami Tr., which I did. They were very nice there, but the guy at Compass Self Storage was very rude.

The reservation agent said I would be charged for only the extra day’s used. As I returned the equipment days early Iwas informed that I still had to pay for the unused days. Personnel at the facility couldn’t navigate their computer and the transaction took a long time. Not happy. Ted Graff Contract. 92377595

I didn't drop off my husband did. He went to where I was to drop off and they sent him out to the airport. Which was not planned on or were we informed. Also, when I was changing my reservation it took numerous times calling to have someone answer the call. I was on hold with the automated system for over 10 minutes 3 times. That is way to long to do business.

Service was great. They hooked the trailer up and made sure it was ready to roll. Only thing I would suggest is that the motorcycle trailer have adjustable tie down points and a better front wheel chock. It was good enough but could be better.

Truck was full of pet hair Truck needs alignment & had to pull the steering wheel for 14 hours to keep truck straight. Truck had no cruise control & drove it 800 miles & my knee was shot for 4 days after. Exterior Mirrors kept moving out of place every time you hit a bump & had to pull over & readjust! Very little floor space in cab of 20’ truck Mileage was 8.9 to gallon- horrendous! Also the service rep at pick up did not put my dolly in the truck & I had to ask if it was done. Luckily I remembered before I left store. I will never rent uhaul again.

Firstly, this is not the site where I was supposed to drop off the truck. The address above ended up being the final dropoff site and I would rate it excellent. The dropoff was supposed to be Gerald's on Fruitville in Sarasota. I parked the truck and went in to check out. The person there was angry and said he couldn't take the truck as he had no room. He told me that he had called me the day before to inform me of that. I never rec'd that message or call. I called UHaul (Judy at North Ft. Myers) who told me he had to take it because he hadn't entered a block in the computer and she would tell him so if I gave him the phone, which I did. He told Judy he had no room. She then told me there was nothing she could do and I needed to take the truck over to the uhaul dealer near the SRQ airport. I told her that I didn't set up my ride to drive me all over town and this would take me another 30 minutes, plus mileage and gas. She said sorry nothing she could do about it. I told her I had already parked the truck on the lot at Gerald's and I could just drop the key in the box and walk away instead of being Uhaul's delivery driver. She told me she would call the police and report the truck as stolen. I was not happy with that comment and told her that wouldn't go over so well as the paperwork says to drop it off here, the keys would be in Geralds possession and the truck was on the Uhaul lot. She asked me to take it to the Florida street location. I asked her for mileage credit and some other concession for my time. She said nothing she could do. I asked her what was going to happend when I got to FLorida and they wouldn't take it. She said they would. Well, Florida had no room to take it and told me to take it to 7800 block of Tamiami Trail over at the airport. They have to take it cuz they are the dealer. He was friendly at Florida street. So, back in the truck and over to the address above on this survey. That facility was fine and he checked me in and we left. I will not use Uhaul ever again unless someone contacts me and makes this right. The customer should not have to go through this type of mess after moving because uhaul and dealers aren't talking to each other. It's all too stressful and the first people I contacted were not helpful at all.

My sister and I used the North Tamiami location in Sarasota, Florida, because my sister had used them in the past. They are absolutely the most considerate and friendly of all the locations we have used in the past. We will DEFINITELY use this location only, and will recommend them to anyone needing U-haul services. Notable personnel are Andrew and Kelly!

Location was fine.... theDOUBLE RATE made me feel like I was ripped off!!! I have used Uhaul car carriers for several years, paying $180-220 each time. This one was $427!! I understand market pricing, but not abusing customers.

There's a sign out front telling customers to wait with their truck. We waited for 10 minutes before finally going inside. It would have been more helpful if staff checked the cameras more often or put up a sign saying to go inside.

This was the most awful experience from start to finish. A complaint has been filed. I would suggest more helpful, friendly staff, and when there are problems as I experienced, Customer Service needs to be more understanding and helpful. Then to top this all off, I got overcharged! LC

My only complaint was that the 5 x 8 that was provided was in pretty rough shape. The roll up door really needed lubrication. Check in was easy and the service provided was excellent.

Apparently my trailer was not hooked up correctly, or even registered correctly. My trailer was “lost” when returned, because the incorrect number was entered in the first place.

This review is based on Two locations!! The first location is A & M Minimart, 1159 Central Ave, Sarasota, FL. 34236. The location is a Bad Joke!! It’s in a part of the neighborhood that drug addicts, homeless people live and dwell, and the Indian Owner is as Unethical and Dishonest as they come!! I had a contract that he purposefully changed and tried to charge me twice the amount that I had a pre-approved contract for. When I called him out he became belligerent and downright Rude!! It took me over two hours at another location to Finally get my truck. The truck was dirty, full ashtray, and the wheel alignment was so bad I had to drive between 10 & 11 o’clock to keep the truck straight!! And since I was hauling a trailer, the drive was less than adequate!! It was Absolutely the Worse experience and in No Way would ever recommend U Haul again... I respectfully ask that my fees be Fully refunded. As a highly successful Business Owner I cannot think of ever treating a customer the way I was treated!! If anyone from your company has the Courage to call me, my phone is 847-361-9100. I would expect this issue to be ignored just as I was in the process of getting the service I contracted for...
